Here is all you need to know about Dubare Elephant Camp✨❤️ This is the best place to be in Coorg, but it really needs a proper planning. The camp is only open 3 hours a day one in the Morning 9-11 Am abd evening 4.30-5.30pm. Weekends are super crowded and you need to go minimum 2 hours before opening to get a smooth entry. If you are planning a Coorg trip then keep a weekday for Dubare, as weekdays are good for the perfect visit. Elephant Bathing is only done during the Non-Monsoon season when water level is moderate to low and you can take part in Elephant bathing for extra 200-500 rs per person ( but it was closed during my time ). Elephant bathing strictly happens between 9-10Am only and not again in the evening. Besides that you can see the Elephant in their stables and many of them are a part of Mysuru Dasara Procession elephants and there are about 20 elephants in the camp. For Rs 50 you can buy food and feed them and for another Rs 50 you can take Elephant Blessing and touch them as well, these money are directly needed to be paid to the mahouts. Entry tickets are Rs 180 per person, which includes a two way boat ride to reach the camp. When the water level is low the boat ride is not required you can cross the river by foot and entry ticket is just Rs 60 per person. Besides that in Dubare you can do River Rafting when the water level is good starting at Rs 300 per person.
