You should read as much as you can about how to address the problem you have.⁣ ⁣ Now you have new information at your disposal, and it’s your job to elegantly formulate that - while being precise in your word choice. You then organize your sentences correctly. And your paragraphs. Hopefully, now the whole thing is coherent enough to make sense.⁣ ⁣ While this is happening, you are sharpening your tools and integrating your personality at the highest and most abstract level of organization. You’re learning to think. And you improve your ability to think by learning to write. Study LESS, learn MORE. It’s not about cramming for hours—it’s about how you study. Here’s how to maximize your learning with less time: 🧠 Active Recall – Stop rereading. Quiz yourself instead. The more you struggle to remember, the stronger the memory gets. ✍️ Scribble Method – Use your non-dominant hand to doodle messy scribbles while studying. It keeps your brain engaged and improves retention. 📢 Feynman Technique – If you can’t teach it simply, you don’t understand it. Break it down as if you’re explaining it to a child. 💻 Second Brain – Organize your notes digitally so you can quickly find, review, and connect key concepts. This is about becoming the person who understands things deeply, connects ideas fast and can explain anything clearly and here’s how you do it: Step 1: Pick 3 Knowledge Pillars Over-educated people don’t study everything. They go deep in a few areas. Your 3 pillars: 1. One hard skill (makes you valuable) e.g. math, programming, economics, science, statistics 2. One thinking skill (makes you sharp) psychology, philosophy, logic, critical thinking 3. One expression skill (makes you powerful) writing, speaking, teaching, storytelling 👉 Rule: Everything you study must fit one pillar. Step 2: Study Like a Researcher, Not a Student Students memorize but over-educated people interrogate information. For everything you read/watch, ask: • Why is this true? • What assumptions exist? • Where does this break? • Can I explain this to a 12-year-old? If you can’t explain it simply → you don’t know it. Step 3: Replace Passive Learning with “Output Pressure” Every study session must end with output: • Write a 5–10 sentence summary • Teach it (even to your wall) • Create a cheat sheet • Ask & answer 3 questions Input → Output → Feedback → Repeat That loop is how real intelligence is built. Step 4: Build a Personal “Second Brain” Over-educated people don’t rely on memory. They externalize thinking. Your system (keep it simple): • One notes app / notebook • One folder per pillar • Notes written in your words Rule: If future-you can’t understand it in 30 seconds, rewrite it. Step 5: Schedule “Daily Intellectual Violence” You don’t become over-educated casually. Non-negotiable daily block: • 45–90 minutes • Phone away • One pillar only • Slightly uncomfortable material If it feels easy → it’s not making you smarter. Step 6: Become Annoyingly Curious Every time you hear: • “That’s just how it is” • “Everyone knows that” • “Trust the experts” Your response should always be “Why?” Over-education is just curiosity with discipline. Even better if you create a presentation & use analogies/diagrams/examples.This will highlight the areas you don’t fully understand, which you can go back to work on, and retry teaching until perfect 👩🏽‍🏫 . 2️⃣ SQ3R - to actively engage with anything you read use the following steps: Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review. Creating your own questions that you then answer when reading through the text makes it more engaging and memorable📕 . 3️⃣ Spaced Repetition - review content at regular, increasing intervals to help commit to long-term memory. For example: —> when you get home from school —> again that weekend —> the weekend after —> in a fortnight —> in a month —> in 3 months 📅 . 4️⃣ Loci Method - envision a common route or room, and make a list of all the objects you pass. Try to relate each object to a piece of content you have to memorise (e.g. your door handle is circular, like the shape of a ribosome, which produces protein for the cell).
