Would you consider interlocking? 🪡 Why or why not?? “Interlocking has a few very good benefits over retwisting and crocheting... 1. No products are needed, decreasing build up potential 2. Keeps your locs safe from unravelling because it’s a technique that secures the new growth 🔗 3. Unlike crocheting, the interlocking tool doesn’t thread your hair. Rather, it threads your locs underneath itself to retighten. When done right, it can be safer for your hair 👌🏽 Now interlocking does come with it’s risks, like weak spots in your locs and root if not done right, which is why it’s important you find someone who knows what they’re doing 🙏🏾” 🎥: @dahriinawilkinsondiy (STYLIST SPOTLIGHT) She’s a #LocLady 🌹 • • Got locs or a loc business? My client asked me to make her this video because she’s getting ready to get stationed in Korea and wanted to figure out how to interlock her hair herself so I figured I’d share it with y’all too 🥰 🤗 Locgician @styledby_de #locgician #goodlocday #interlocking #locstyling #nclocs

Unpopular opinion, I think interlocking is better than retwisting 🫠 Here’s why… ~ interlocking allows your hair to actually loc. When we get retwist, yes it looks neat but it takes longer for your hair to loc over time depending on the texture of your hair. With a retie your hair is locking almost instantly, it’s not going anywhere even if you wash your hair. ~ Interlocking allows you to go longer periods of time without getting your hair done. With my first set of locs I went at least 3 months without doing my hair. Of course with micro locs it’s different and I don’t recommend that, but with traditional locs you don’t need a retwist every week or every month in my opinion. Interlocking allows you to have longevity without your hair unraveling after every workout session or wash. ~Interlocking is not for every one of course but if you’re someone who lives a busy lifestyle or very active, then I say give it a shot. I wash my hair often because I workout and interlocking allows me to do that without my retie going anywhere. There may be some frizz but my roots are still intact. Also if you don’t like to get your hair done often this may be for you. Don’t get me wrong I love a good retwist every now and then, but don’t sleep on interlocking she is that girl too💅🏽 Follow @_thehairpriestess @_thehairpriestess #thehairpriestess #atlhairstylist #locstylist #interlocking #retie #retielocs #interlockinglocs

Interlocking is one of the best methods to start and maintain locs. Both afro, curly and straight hair. Yes ,you can start and maintain all textures with Interlocking. Interlocking can be make to look as aesthetically pleasing as palm rolling. Yes, I do teach on Interlocking. Hardly talk about it. Coca-Cola hardly talking about sprite or Fanta. It doesn'tean they aint good. My Interlocking course is available under "Becoming a loctician course " and the " Master loctician course " Find out how to make Interlocking look like palm rolling without compromising or changing your rotation. Without even skipping a point of rotation or adding one. Strange but true. There is no bad method for locs, just people who don't know how to use the methods. Interlocking does not destroy locs, locticians who don't know how to do. Peace Out

Now interlocking is not my favorite to do but when I do it, I do it to perfection. I am now offering interlocking after 14 years of just doing retwisting. I've known how to do interlocking. I just didn't want to but let me cook then #hair #locs #braids #fyp #naturalhair #dreadstyles #dreads #wonderlocks #dreadstagram #interlocking #explorepage

HERE’S WHY I INTERLOCK AND RETWIST MY LOCS When I first started my loc journey I started with interlocking. In the early stages my hair was shorter and much more frizzier cause my locs were forming. Anytime I interlocked my locs I would still have the volume I wanted but after some time I started to want more of a thicker base rather than the braided look at the base so I tried retwisting my locs and since then I interlock like once or twice a year and I retwist the rest of the time. I only interlock when I leave my locs for a very long time without maintaining them. I realized that since I have smelly locs interlocking too often would probably cause thinning. So yes it is possible to maintain your locs with two different methods✨✨ #loctips #locmaintenance #loccare

Interlocking is one of the best long term maintenance method for both Microlocs/Traditional Locs! But doing it incorrectly can cause damage to your locs! You want to AVOID 🚫 the following mistakes; 1. Incorrect Rotation Patterns 2. Over Tightening your Roots 3. Interlocking TOO Frequently Avoid these mistakes and watch your Locs thrive😍 📌i would be launching “The Ultimate Microlocs maintenance Guide” on March 7th , 12pm EST 🥳💃 Where I would be dropping all the gems on the proper interlocking technique and everything I’ve learned about Microlocs in the past 5 years! ✅ It’s going to be DISCOUNTED for the first 20 people!🤩💃🥳 🗓️Mark your Calendars, You 🫵 DO NOT want to miss this😎 @bmj_haircastle_ @bmj_haircastle_ @bmj_haircastle_ #microlocsretightening #microlocs #locnation #dmvlocstylist #loctician #bmjhaircastle
