Travel gets so much better when you start visiting smaller cities Although popular cities are wonderful, they rarely give you that true authentic and local feel. Not only are smaller cities more immersive, but tourism gets that much more sustainable when we start spreading out and showing love to the more underrated areas around the world I always recommend mixing in popular cities with smaller cities to get a full well rounded experience Keep in mind some of these areas do see tourists but mostly domestic tourists. Here are 7 cities I think you should visit 🧳 📍 Save this post for a future trip Brighton - Stroll through the Lanes, visit the amusement park on the Palace Pier and chill on the beach after a swim in the sea. Canterbury - Go punting along the river stour, visit the cathedral and old town and walk along Westgate garden to see the beautiful flower displays. Nottingham - The home of Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest. Make sure to visit the castle and finish off by having a drink at the Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem; the oldest inn in England. Lincoln - Walk the medieval walls of Lincoln Castle and visit the Magna Carta Vault. Here you can see an original copy of the Magna Carta, only four have survived all this time so it’s a pretty special thing to see! Explore Steep Hill (yes this hill is aptly named). This hill is lined with independent shops, tea rooms and restaurants. Bath - Visit the Roman Baths, relax at the Thermae Bath Spa and try a Sally Lunn bun. Cambridge - Explore this city’s beautiful colleges or go punting along the river Cam this city really does have it all. You can test it by putting your phone in #airplanemode Tap in the search Radio City Music Hall, for example. At the bottom of your screen tap ...More. Then choose Download Offline Map. And then download. 🤷‍♀️ NOW when maps does not work while touring, here is what you do: Tap in the upper right on your profile pic in the circle. Then tap Offline maps and choose the one you need. Test it out in Airplane Mode.
