What a mega weekend @rainforestwritingretreat It was uplifting, hilarious, and just as magical as ever. I first came to this event about five years ago, full of nerves and no clue what I was doing. I sat at the back, scribbling notes, hoping some of the wisdom from the ‘real writers’ would sink in. I didn’t feel like I belonged, but I had a messy story in my head and a stubborn voice inside saying, “You have to tell it.” And now here we are. This year, I was on a panel helping other writers work out how to get published and connect with their audience. It felt like such a full circle moment. I never would have believed, five years ago, that I’d be up the front sharing what I’ve learnt. It was a total joy to meet so many brave, creative humans and to pass on whatever bits of knowledge I could about writing, storytelling, and occasionally hiding in a cupboard with a packet of chocolate pretzels when it all gets too much! Everybody was so welcoming and generous. I was supposed to be having a break from my own writing for a bit but the whole weekend has got me thinking….. what next? #sober #mumming #sobriety #pretzel

Happy mummy Mondays !! Back with my baby’s and it’s lush . Surrounded by cuteness, snots and chaos ! Shack went for it last night for a good three hours of protest got me 🤔 thinking . U know those little sleep pods they have in the airport you can pay by the hour to use . I had that idea about ten years ago, someone must have jumped in my tired mind and stole it but I’m glad they did cos how amazing is that ! They cost about 40 quid an hour .
