This is how we do water on our off grid homestead. We have a solar pump on our own well and a 2500 gallon water tank to store the water in. We keep the tank full and one day I would like to get an even bigger tank because not everyday is sunny just because we are in Arizona 😁 and if there is a week with no sun, that means there is no water being pumped. No water for the garden for more than a day in the summer here, and everything dies.... soooo.... there's some pressure on us 😄 Anyway, the cabin is connected to the water tank and has a pressure pump. We filter our water through our @acuvatech UV water filter(use code MAVERICKMAMA10 for 10% off or use link in bio), and then I use our @mayuwater swirler to restructure the water before we drink it(use code TARALOWTHER for $15 off or link in bio). We have to drink a lot of water here to stay hydrated, and sometimes I will put a spoon of molasses or a pinch of @redmondrealsalt for electrolytes. We love to flavor with fresh fruits and herbs. Water quality was a big reason we wanted to live here. We are on a very good aquifer. The taste difference between here and tap or bottled water is incredible. Our well water tastes so much better. Let me tell you how we get water living full-time off grid 🌵💧 We have a 2,500-gallon water tank. We fill up our totes, load them up, and go get water. It costs us about $25 in quarters to fill the full 2,500 gallons. It usually takes two trips to fill it all the way to the top. Once we’re back, we pump it into our main water tank. We also run our water through filters and a UV light for peace of mind. That water lasts us about two months, and then we do it all over again. This is how we get water living off grid full-time. #LivingOffGrid #OffGridHome #HomesteadLife #SelfSufficient #OffGridWater

Water is life—it’s one of the most important setups for our off-grid living. We can never have enough, so we collect rainwater, recycle greywater, and conserve by using a composting toilet and a bio toilet, which requires minimal water to flush. #rainwaterharvesting #offgrid #livingoffgrid #sustainablehome #sustainableliving #livinggreen #earthyhome #simplelivinglifestyle #offgridhome #selfsufficient

Incredible life-saving water purification method you can use in the wild during critical times! 🌿💧 With simple natural materials, you can make water safer to drink and significantly increase your chances of survival. German engineers have developed a portable micro-hydroelectric generator about the size of a suitcase, designed to produce electricity from small flowing streams. The system operates without dams, major civil works, or connection to a central grid. Placed directly into natural water flow, the turbine converts kinetic energy into continuous power under suitable stream conditions. Multiple units can be combined to increase output for small homes or remote facilities. The design emphasizes ecological safety, allowing fish and debris to pass through with minimal disruption. Because it requires no concrete barriers or large infrastructure, environmental impact remains low compared to traditional hydropower systems. Built for durability, the generator is intended for long-term off-grid operation with minimal maintenance. It is particularly suited for remote villages, disaster zones, research stations, or mountainous regions. This approach highlights the power of decentralized renewables. Energy access no longer depends on massive infrastructure. #RenewableEnergy #MicroHydro #CleanTech #OffGrid #SustainableEngineering #EnergyInnovation
