🚨 IEP RED FLAGS Every Parent Should Know 🚨 If you’re reviewing your child’s IEP and see goals like “will try harder” or “will participate more,” stop right there. That’s not measurable, and that’s a problem. Here are some common red flags to watch for: ❌ Goals that can’t be measured ❌ Goals that don’t match your child’s actual needs ❌ Same goals year after year with no real progress ❌ No explanation of how the goal will be taught or tracked ❌ Language so vague or technical that you can’t even tell what your child is supposed to be learning 💡If a goal isn’t clear, customized, and trackable, it’s not setting your child up for success.
