How often do you wear the “top knot”?! ⚡️ Messy Bun + Partial Dreadlocks is by far one of my favorite styles. It’s a great go to style for when you’re on that last week before your move up. I like to add a hair scarf to cover any grow out I don’t want to see. Plus it’s super cute! I definitely find myself wearing the “dreadlock mama bun” on repeat now. ✌🏼 This was one of the biggest draws I found, it “dresses up” or add a little spice to most any hair style I try! I DIDN'T CUT MY DREADS THO 😄 They're still with me, I just had to move them to the back to cut the front part. I don't like when my hair loses its volume and lies straight all day. I love to have partial dreads for the front part moving! Also, I've never been to a hairdresser. My Mom cut my hair through all my childhood, and since I was fifteen, I've been the only one who can touch my hair with scissors. Here’s the elements that make these partials perfect 🤩 1. The length of the hair compared to the length of the extensions. When the hair is down, the dreadlock have the perfect amount of whisp to blend beautifully. 2. The loose hair to dreadlocks ratio. The art of getting a cohesive style is in the blending between the two. Thicker hair requires more dreadlocks. 3. In 2010 I got my first dreadlocks. I started with a couple and ended up with 10. Then in 2013 I made the leap from partial dreads to a full head. I was scared to commit to dreadlocks, but at the same time I was thinking about dreads every day and I just knew I’d regret not doing it. Since then it’s been quite the journey, they’ve changed so much over the years and I’ve trimmed them a few times to deal with the length and weight. Sandra‘s 45 Dreads, welche ich vor ca. 5 Monaten erstellt hatte, wurden heute komplett nachgehäkelt.
