This is your sign to have an M&S Picky Bits night ✨ Following on from our M&S dip night, we met back up for another family dinner and my sister got the score cards back out. The scores shown are the average of all our scores. It was about £12 each for all the picky bits and it’s a fun activity for any fellow foodie families 🥳 The joint winners were a surprise with the Turkish Grilled Olives and the really delicious Red Diamond Strawberry Still Lemonade. The loser was the Green Goddess Slaw which we all thought was really bitter compared to the really nice Green Goddess Dip we had last time! The Ultimate Picky Tea! AD /Picky tea might just be the best dinner ever invented...and @sainsburys well and truly have you covered this Summer, with quality food that doesn't break the bank! If you want to ace the picky tea, you need a mixture of little bits and main bits like these Taste the Difference Hog Roast rolls or the Lamb & Chicken Koftas with a lovely harissa kick...then add a couple of salads like pesto pasta or this Sainsbury's Moroccan couscous Fill in the gaps with your little bits like cheese, crisps, grapes and breadsticks, maybe a few olives and delicious dips...this Extra Thick Taste the Difference Tzatziki is so good, I think I'm actually going to have to hide it! 😅 Let me know if there's something I missed - and if you call it picky tea, or if it's called something completely different in your house! Did you realise that as you have all been enjoying your Picky Teas during this weekends heatwave that the actual concept was created by a major UK Supermarket. It was a marketing ploy to encourage people to spend more money during the hot spells while convincing them that it was much easier due to not having to spend hours cooking in hot kitchens. And it has been a great success. As a nation we spend lots of money on our favourite picky teas that most British Adult don't realise how much they are actually spending. In fact, often a takeaway would work out cheaper. If you want to beat the Supermarkets at their own game, go and search out the reduced items, the yellow stickers, the best befores. There are still bargains to be had.
