Plant Protein vs Whey Protein, Which Is Better? Personal preference matters, but understanding bioavailability can help you make a better choice for your body.

What's best - Whey vs Plant-Based Protein Powder 🏋️♂️🌱 Debating between whey and plant-based protein? While I might lean towards plant-based, let’s talk facts. Research from the National Library of Medicine shows no significant difference in protein absorption between plant and animal sources. So, why pick plant-based? 🤔 🔬 Consider this: about 68% of humans are lactose intolerant, which can lead to discomfort like bloating and gas when consuming whey. Switching to plant-based proteins can help alleviate these symptoms, plus it’s a choice more bodybuilders are making to support not just their performance but also their digestion. 🏋️♂️ Interested in trying a top-rated plant-based protein like @Sunwarrior? Which ones should I rate next? Honestly all plant proteins are a little chalky which is totally normal because plant proteins keep their fiber + grainy bits which dont dissolve in water easily so the texture is naturally thicker and chalkier than whey All brands I took here are super clean and amazing, just pick the one that matches your taste and budget❤️ plant protein, protein powder, wholetruth, Oziva, True Basics, Cosmix, supplements, health, nutrition, fitness

Is your protein powder doing more harm than good? I’ve got some good news and bad news. The bad news is that most standard protein powders contain heavy metals, artificial sweeteners that can mess up your gut health, some brands are even lying to you about how much protein they actually contain. They do this by cheating the testing method, and spiking the protein powder with cheap amino acids. They know this, yet they don’t care. For many brands, it’s just about one thing: increasing profit margin. On top of that, it’s important to understand that not all protein powders are created equally. When it comes to muscle gain, recovery, and fat loss, one protein powder comes out clearly on top. Whey. Plant proteins can contain all the amino acids, but they don’t contain as much of the one most important one. Leucine. Leucine is a branched-chain amino acid that triggers muscle protein synthesis. Many plant proteins also have high levels of pesticides and herbicides and taste like dirt unless they have a heap of sweeteners and flavours. But there is good news! There are brands that don’t use artificial sweeteners, that do assess for heavy metals, and don’t spike their powders with cheap aminos. I’ve been really liking Chief because they use monk fruit as a sweetener and use real cocoa for flavour, Or you can simply get unflavored, which is just pure whey. And as a bonus, have tested their whey for not only heavy metals, but also pesticides and herbicides. You’re not really going to get cleaner than that. One caveat is that they do use whey protein concentrate, so if you’re very sensitive to lactose, then a whey protein isolate may be a better option. Whey protein is not just a protein supplement either. It’s a health food with it’s own side benefits like improving blood pressure, GLP-1 and gut health. Introducing: Grass-Fed Whey — One Ingredient, as Nature Intended. We set out to make the cleanest whey protein on the planet—and we did. Available in Unflavored and Chocolate Sea Salt. It’s more than just another protein powder—it’s a return to nature and what protein was meant to be: clean, nutrient-dense, and free from the junk that fills most options sold for decades. Our whey is sourced from 100% grass-fed Australian cows that graze on pasture year-round and are never treated with hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, or GMOs. Unlike conventional whey that goes through multiple industrial steps and harsh processing, ours is made using a single, low-temperature filtration process. This preserves critical nutrients, amino acids, and immune-supporting compounds like lactoferrin and immunoglobulins that other products strip away. The leucine advantage: Each serving delivers 24+ grams of protein and 2.5 grams of leucine—the threshold needed to activate muscle protein synthesis—making it ideal for strength, recovery, and performance. It’s third-party tested for purity and transparency, with no amino spiking and no contaminants. If you’ve struggled with bloating, gas, or weird aftertastes from protein powders, this is your answer. It’s clean, functional fuel made for real people—whether you’re hitting the gym, chasing kids, recovering from training, or simply trying to eat better. Unflavored is perfect for smoothies, baked goods, or anyone who wants total control over flavor and ingredients. Chocolate Sea Salt is lightly sweetened with organic maple sugar and flavored with organic, ceremonial-grade cacao and microplastic-free sea salt—clean indulgence without compromise. It’s Whey Protein, Just as Nature Intended. #TheresABetterWhey
