This one is for the first timers. If you haven’t competed before, practice your posing slowly until it’s literally ingrained into your head. Show day especially adrenaline is high and if you haven’t practiced your posing slowly, it’s easy to feel flustered or end up rushing your routine or messing it up completely. Only once you’ve perfected your mandatories & your I-walk then you should practice a little faster. This is especially important for nailing the walk. Depending on how big the show is will most likely determine how quickly your individual presentation will be but also the federation you compete in. Setting a timer helps. Nail the basics always. @femmevo

Save this posing tip for future use! 🖤 This one sounds a little silly but isolating and adding movement to different parts of your body helps you find new angles that work for you! (If you don’t want such extreme angles try smaller leg movements instead.) Plus it adds a touch of movement and variety to your photos that really help it come to life 🖤 Personally, once I see the results and figure out which angles I like, I practice going from a relaxed stance into my desired pose to add it to my muscle memory! Walking on stage. You hate it, right? 😱 It is probably one of the most feared aspect when it comes stepping on stage - especially within the ladies’ divisions that are required to wear heals, walk and eventually pose. The anxiety of tripping or falling comes to mind… But focusing on the female divisions, we need to make sure that your walk remains elegant and graceful. We do not want to stop on stage like Godzilla! 🦖🦎 As soon as you step on that stage, you are being judged! 👀 The way an individual walks on stage holds the power to enhance or diminish the muscularity, symmetry, and aesthetics they’ve diligently cultivated. When it comes to your walk, attention to poise, finesse, and detail is crucial. It’s not uncommon to witness a lack of consideration for these elements, particularly among women, who may inadvertently adopt a walking style that exudes a sense of masculinity and lacks the required finesse. Rather than stomping or striding forcefully, a competitor’s walk should be a carefully orchestrated display of strength and grace. Every step should convey a controlled power that accentuates your hard-earned physique without sacrificing the feminine elegance expected on stage. Tailoring the walk to suit the specific demands of your divisions criteria is essential. Different categories, such as bikini, figure, and women’s physique, have distinct expectations in terms of posture, posing angles, and overall presentation. Understanding and embodying variations not only aligns with judges’ expectations but also allows the competitor to showcase their physique in the most advantageous way. A walk should be relatively personalised - your walk should exude your individual personality and allow you to stand out on stage. Whether a competitor naturally demonstrates confidence, charisma, or a combination of both, infusing these elements into the walk adds authenticity and a memorable touch to the presentation. As you can see, mastering the art of walking on stage involves more than just moving from point A to point B. @posingbydb #posing #bodybuilding #wpd #figure #bikini

A week of progress. Posing might look easy on stage, but it’s honestly one of the hardest parts of prep. Every angle, every step, every transition has to be practiced over and over until it feels natural. This week was all about tightening things up, learning my body, and getting a little more confident with every pose. You don’t just build the physique… you have to learn how to present it. One week closer, one week better. #BodybuildingPrep #PosingPractice #TrustTheProcess #RoadToStage #CoachCam 💪✨

When I tell you I am passionate about ending the “triangle” epidemic, I 👏🏼 mean 👏🏼 it. Because we can’t see the damn tringles, and we weren’t meant to. The best poses happen when you relax your body, not when you force yourself into weird, unnatural angles. So instead of thinking about triangles, try this: ✔️ Relax Your Body The goal is to look natural. If your body is tense, your pose will be stiff. Relax first, everything else follows. ✔️ Shift Your Weight Standing on both feet evenly? Instant stiffness. Instead, lean into one hip, actually trust the chair you’re sitting in, or press into a wall like you meaaaan it. ✔️ Create Separation Once your body is relaxed, then we play. Hands in pockets, a slight bend in the knee, one arm lifted away from your body...small shifts that add movement without overthinking. And yeah, sometimes this does create a triangle. But the difference? It happens naturally, not because you forced it. So yeah, the triangle method? Can we please retire it. 📌 Save this for your next shoot. P.S. If you want to feel confident in front of the camera, drop “POSE” and I’ll send you the secrets to serving every time.

5 quick tips to improve your poses… 1. Master Your Angles - Know your best side and work with it. Slightly tilt your head or shift your weight to highlight your natural features. 2. Add Movement - Incorporate subtle movements like adjusting your jacket, walking, or playing with your hair to make the pose feel natural and dynamic. 3. Focus on Your Hands - Avoid awkward hand placement. Use props like sunglasses, phones, or a coffee cup, or place hands on your hips, in your pockets, or lightly crossed. 4. Use Your Surroundings - Interact with your environment—lean on walls, sit on stairs, or use a chair. This adds depth and interest to your poses. 5. Experiment with Levels - Change up your positioning by sitting, kneeling, or crouching for more variety in your shots. Avoid always standing straight. #strikeapose #poselikeapro #anglesmatter #cameraready #newposes #chooseyourfit
