Printing with the Pup Tahoe, the studio muppet, watches the process of piecing together the modular print tiles. You may notice I am using a cold laminator press — it’s a great alternative to the pricey professional presses. It’s a little tricky to set the pressure. A brilliant example of reduction printing from @ajmasthay, created for @goosetheband at the CMAC Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua, NY. Each colour is carved by hand from a single sheet of linoleum and printed in sequence. As the design builds, the block is gradually destroyed — a process often called “suicide printing.” The result is a finite edition that can never be reprinted, which is why collectors value these works so highly.
