So excited to introduce yall to our newest, tiniest additions to our reptile family, a litter of baby green anacondas! 🐍 Unlike many snakes that lay eggs, anacondas are viviparous, which means they give birth to live young. This allows the mother to provide a safe, mobile incubation environment, protecting her developing babies from predators and temperature fluctuations right up until the moment they enter the world. 🌎 ✨

That stuck eye cap had to go👀 This big girl is a Burmese Python and when snakes shed their skin they also shed the clear scale that covers their eye🙌 Sometimes if the humidity isn’t perfect that eye cap can stay stuck which can affect their vision and even lead to infection😳 Burmese pythons rely heavily on their senses to navigate and hunt so having clear vision is very important🤯 You always have to be gentle and patient when removing something like this because you never want to damage the eye underneath👀 These giants may be powerful apex predators but proper care is what keeps them healthy and thriving in captivity🙌 Little details like this make a huge difference in the long run and that’s why reptile care is so important😤🐍

Approx 16.5 feet!!! The green anaconda is the heaviest snake in the world. Adult females can weigh up to 300 pounds and tend to be bigger than males. This one had just eaten a pig on someones farmland (notice the bulge lol). To be clear, I’m not saying they would never attack a human if provoked, just that humans are not typical prey for them and documented cases of anacondas eating humans is extremely rare.
