Invite @dune_standrews St Andrews in Scotland is one of my favourite places to visit, the old fashioned streets and culture. It’s also not shy of good food spots in St Andrews! Dune being one of them. This lunch time deal is £15 for lobster roll and chips, or fish and chips. You can see they certainly don’t skrimp on portion size or quality. This food was delicious, and everything I expected being a well known spot for seafood in St Andrews. I was kindly invited along to try @claretsstandrews and it’s a really smart new addition to the area. Set right by the sea with views over the golf course, the location instantly gives you that classic St Andrews feel, and the decor inside matches it perfectly, modern, polished, and warm without feeling too formal. What impressed me most was the pricing. So much around St Andrews can be expensive, so it’s great to see a restaurant that feels like it was genuinely created with locals in mind, somewhere you can enjoy a really nice meal out at a reasonable price. I tried the Steak Frites for £18 with Koffman fries and garlic parsley butter, and for that setting and surrounding area it’s a cracking price. That was definitely my favourite of the two. I also had the homemade tagliatelle for £15 with wild garlic, new season peas, and aged parmesan, which was fresh, seasonal, and really tasty. I did enjoy it, but personally I’d still choose the steak and chips every time. Between the sea views, golf course backdrop, stylish decor, and genuinely good value, Clarets feels like a brilliant option for both locals and anyone visiting St Andrews.

It doesn’t get much better than this... We went to try The Bridge, part of the iconic five star Hotel, Rusacks, in St Andrews, which is right next to the 18th hole of the world’s most famous golf course! I had no idea this place existed until we were kindly invited to try it out @thebridgerusacks The views are possibly the best you can get of the golf course, especially while enjoying a delicious meal 😍 Not only is the restaurant incredible, but it’s surprisingly affordable, especially with the views it’s offering! TAKE 2: a day in St Andrews 🎬 (nae golf, mostly food and coffees) My cousin stays in St Andrews for uni & it’s become a somewhat annual tradition for me to visit & her to take me round some of her recommended foodie spots. We headed first for brunch at @hatch_standrews - i was first of all obsessed with getting an iced chai in a wine glass 😍 - i ordered the Harrison’s NYC & my cous ordered the smashed avo. It’s a beautiful location serving quality dishes at a decent price - defs worth a visit! We then walked out to west sands to @dookscotland - a location that really transports you out of scotland imo. The beach hut vibe serving a variety of drinks - would love to visit for a cocktail! & snacks too! I ordered their special iced mini egg mocha, my cousin ordered a matcha. She wasn’t really a big fan of the matcha but I really enjoyed my drink sitting by the dunes. I’ve always been intrigued when passing Kinettles ‘Coffee Garden’ in the centre @kinnettleshotel - and i really had some sort of awakening here. The coffee van and tunes were a vibe. Sitting under a sheltered seating area amongst the trees and garden in the rain - i was sooo content here, a wee robin friend even came to visit bird I’ve also always been intrigued to visit @spoiledlifestore although i’ll 100% need to revist for their drinks menu - we just browsed the shop to take it all in. We decided to take on @weareblackhorn for some burgers and chips before I headed - these came highly recommended from my cousin & they clearly get hype! I was quite impressed by the way they ran their service etc. i had a burger which was tasty although i’m not a huge burger person, but my highlight was definitely the chunky chips 😋 Where’s your go to in St Andrews? LUNA ROSSA | ST ANDREWS | INVITE Come with us to Luna Rossa, an Italian hidden gem just outside of St Andrews. Dom started with their garlic prawns which had a really nice spice and was served with garlic bread. I had their giant calamari which was actually so good, with crunchy breadcrumbs this was a nice change from your typical batter version. Onto mains and I had their braised lamb shank, which was delicious, they somehow managed to have gnarly edges on top while maintaining soft fall apart meat in the middle. Dom had their angus beef burger with crispy bacon and a ton of cheese which was superb.
