St. Patrick’s day is right around the corner. Instead of reinventing the wheel, incorporate digital activities that require zero prep and reinforce skills students have learned all year long. From graphic design to hundreds charts, there are plenty of activities ready to use! ☘️to learn more!

Today, the children worked with the Frog-E robot to learn the concepts of forward and backward. They learned that robots are machines that only move when we program them. The children identified the correct buttons and programmed Frog-E to move 4 steps forward and 4 steps backward, following the direction the robot was facing. This activity helped develop logical thinking, following directions, and an introduction to coding in a fun way.🐸

Our K/1 class is learning to code! Today they had a surprise visit from Sparky the robot and had the chance to practice giving coding directions to our special guest!

Today our fourth graders had a blast experimenting and exploring with our new Sphero Mini robot balls! 🤖✨ They worded on their first lesson and are already building coding skills, strengthening logical thinking, and discovering STEAM principles through hands-on play. We love seeing curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity come to life in our classrooms! 💡

In December, our Elementary II friends had a brain break! They got on scooter boards and were loving being chased around by a little grinch robot! Video description: Students in Elementary II are on colorful scooter boards (square boards with wheels on them). There is a small grinch robot that seems to behave like a roomba. The grinch searches (spins in circles) and identifies a student to be loved on by going after them. The students are having a blast rolling away from it, but some students let the grinch love on them.

A great week at @greenfieldsprimarysch learning how to use our Sphero Rovers. The children did brilliantly at learning how to block code and line draw to make the Rovers move how they wanted! Some even managed to add in lights and sounds! #STEM #Technology #Maths #skillclubs #KS1 #KS2
