“The Mystery of Déjà Vu — Your Brain Has Seen This Moment Before” #documentary #life #dejavu #science #philosophy

Bayes Theorem is probably one of the most important things any rational person can learn, because so many of our debates and disagreements that we shout at each other about are because we don’t understand how our beliefs work. Bayes Theorem goes back to the 18th century, Thomas Bayes, and essentially it’s a formula which asks: when we are presented with the evidence for something, how much should we believe it? Bayes Theorem teaches us that our beliefs are not fixed. They are probabilities. Our beliefs change as we weigh up new evidence against our assumptions, or what are called priors. In other words, we all carry with us certain ideas about how the world works, and new evidence will sometimes challenge us. For example, suppose somebody believes that smoking is good for you, or that mouth ulcers are caused by stress, or that human activity is unrelated to climate change. Those are your priors. Those are your starting points. These might come from culture, from biases, or from the best available existing information. Now imagine a new study comes along which challenges one of your priors. Well, a single study might not carry enough weight to change your existing beliefs. But eventually, the studies accumulate, and eventually the scales will tip. Bayes Theorem teaches us that being rational is not black or white. It’s not even about true or false. It’s about believing what is reasonable, based upon the best, and available, evidence. But for all of this to work, we have to have the best possible quality data. Without that, we only have priors and biases, and those are not very rational at all.

Einstein smiled — not with pride, but with the calm of a man who had looked deep into the mysteries of creation and found humility instead of glory. “Genius,” he said softly, “doesn’t come from the mind. It comes from wonder.” He explained that when he was a child, he would sit for hours staring at a compass, amazed that an invisible force could move the needle. That feeling — curiosity mixed with awe — never left him. It became the foundation of everything he later discovered. “The moment you lose your sense of wonder,” he said, “you stop being truly alive.” To Einstein, genius wasn’t about solving equations or memorizing facts. It was about asking the questions no one dared to ask — and then listening quietly for the universe’s reply. He believed imagination was far more powerful than logic, because logic could take you from point A to B, but imagination could take you everywhere. He once said, “The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size.” Einstein’s genius wasn’t just intelligence — it was openness. He allowed mystery to exist. He wasn’t afraid of not knowing, because in the silence of uncertainty, he found insight. He saw patterns in chaos, beauty in simplicity, and divinity in the laws of physics. To him, science was not about controlling nature — it was about aligning with it. “God doesn’t play dice with the universe,” he once said. Meaning — nothing is random; everything has purpose, even what we don’t yet understand. Maybe that’s where genius truly comes from — the ability to see order where others see confusion, to stay curious where others give up, to keep asking “why” when the world says “enough.” ✨ So don’t chase genius. Chase curiosity. Chase the feeling that makes you look up at the stars and whisper, “How?” Because that’s where all discovery begins — not in the mind, but in the wonder behind it. #AlbertEinstein #GeniusMind #ScienceAndSoul #PhilosophyOfLife #ThinkDeep #Curiosity #Imagination #WisdomReel #EinsteinQuotes #MindsetOfGenius #DeepThinking #MotivationalReel #InspirationDaily #UniverseWithin #StayCurious #WonderIsPower #ScienceAndSpirit
