High hang pow snatch 💥@95kg #tomanator #snatch #weightlifting #strongishappy

The 3-position snatch 🏋🏼♀️ This is a fantastic complex to develop better awareness & strength in all the positions we are completing in the snatch by breaking them down: ✅ High Hang Snatch: Is a great movement to develop speed, control and awareness. We’re starting at the top, so we have to really utilise our leg drive, by controlling into our down position & driving hard to full extension, keep the bar close to our body and pull ourselves down into our receiving position with a fast lockout. This is going to really build some confidence in your ability to get under the bar. ✅ Hang Snatch: Now we get to really load up our hamstrings and glutes, this is going to give us much more power and speed to put into our snatch. We want to think about controlling to our down position, then as the bar is being lowered to above our knee, we’re loading up our hamstring and glutes, keeping the bar close to our thighs and then with our shoulders over the bar, we now get to drive those legs, sweep the bar back to our hips and finish the same way as we did in the high hang snatch. ✅ Snatch: We’re now going from the floor looking to absolutely nail the 2 positions we just practiced! Get tight in that set-up and trust your positions. #theburgenerway #burgenerstrength #mayhemburgenerstrength

📌 You’re Not Doing Snatch Pulls Right… Snatch pulls aren’t just a heavier version of your snatch. They’re a builder — for timing, strength, and consistency. ❌ If you're pulling early, hopping around, or losing balance… You're just reinforcing bad habits. ✅ Control the tempo ✅ Maintain balance through the mid-foot ✅ Extend smoothly from legs to shoulders Master the pull. Build the lift. 🎯 Want better technique, stronger lifts, and real feedback? Are You Guilty of an Early Pull in the Snatch? 🤔 One of the most common snatch mistakes is pulling too early with your arms. It might feel like you’re being explosive, but this habit limits power and disrupts your technique. Let’s break it down and learn how to fix it! Common Early Pull Issues: • Elbows Bend Too Soon: Instead of using your legs and hips to drive the bar, you engage your arms prematurely, reducing the power generated from your lower body. • Barbell Moves Away: The early arm pull often pushes the barbell out in front of you, creating a longer and less efficient bar path. • Weak Leg Drive: By relying on your arms, you fail to fully extend your hips and knees, losing out on the strongest part of the lift. • Timing is Off: An early pull disrupts the fluid pull sequence, making the lift feel rushed and unstable. How to Fix It: • Relax Arms: Keep your arms straight during the first and second pull. Focus on letting your legs and hips do the work until the bar reaches mid-thigh. • Bar Close: Use your lats to guide the bar close to your body throughout the lift. Think about shaving your shirt with the barbell. • Use Legs: Fully extend your hips and knees before initiating the third pull. A strong leg drive is key to power and barbell height. • Drill Timing: Incorporate tempo snatches and slow pulls into your training to reinforce proper sequencing and timing. Mastering the snatch takes time, but fixing these small details will elevate your performance and efficiency. Don’t let an early pull limit your potential! 💡 Want a proven plan to improve your weightlifting? I am about to finish My 12-Week Weightlifting Program.
