“We do not leave Earth. We choose it.” 🌏 During the lunar flyby on April 6, 2026, the Artemis II crew captured stunning views of Earth and the Moon before and during Earthset, when Earth dips below the lunar horizon. On Earth, parts of Australia and Oceania are visible while the dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. After a planned loss of signal while the Orion capsule was behind the Moon, @astro_christina shared this message as soon as mission control reacquired signal with the Artemis II crew. Her first words? “It is so great to hear from Earth again.” #NASA #Artemis #Earthrise

Imagine looking up and seeing a massive planet hurtling toward Earth! 🌍💥🔥 The sky would light up like a cosmic fireworks show, and every living thing would feel the impact. Could humanity survive such a disaster? 🌌💫 We’d have to rethink everything—shelters, survival plans, even our place in the universe. 🛖🚀 How would you prepare if the unthinkable happened tomorrow? 🌠 #PlanetCrash #CosmicEvent #SurvivalMode #SkyWatchers #AstroShock

EARTH FROM SPACE 🌏 Part 347 ✨FUN FACT : During a spacewalk outside the ISS, astronauts are never truly “alone” even if radio contact briefly drops, they’re protected by multiple backups. Their suit has redundant radios, a safety tether to the station, and a small emergency jetpack called SAFER that can fly them back if they drift away. Losing comms would be scary, but the bigger danger is losing your tether because in orbit, even a tiny push can send you silently drifting into space. 🧑🚀 Follow @spacegenerationx for more space content #nasa #space #astronaut #hurricane #spacex

After more than 53 years since Apollo 17, NASA has successfully launched Artemis II, the first crewed mission toward the Moon in over five decades. On April 1, 2026, the powerful Space Launch System (SLS) rocket lifted off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 6:35 p.m. EDT, carrying four brave astronauts on an epic journey. The Crew Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch from NASA, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen. This 10-day test flight will take them on a free-return trajectory around the Moon flying farther from Earth than any humans have ever been to test the Orion spacecraft’s systems in deep space before future landings. This historic launch marks the beginning of a new era in space exploration. Artemis II paves the way for Artemis III, which aims to put humans back on the lunar surface, and eventually sends us toward Mars. Humanity is once again reaching for the stars. What an incredible moment for science and exploration! 🌕 #ArtemisII #NASA #MoonMission #BackToTheMoon

Artemis II 2026 🚀🌕 Artemis II marks a major milestone in human spaceflight. Launched by NASA, this mission is the first crewed lunar flyby since 1972, designed to test the Orion spacecraft and Space Launch System (SLS) with astronauts onboard 👨🚀 🔹 No lunar landing on this mission 🔹 Primary objective: validate life-support systems, navigation, and deep-space operations 🔹 Critical step toward a sustained human return to the Moon The next phase, Artemis III, aims to achieve a crewed lunar landing and expand long-term exploration capabilities 🌙 #NASA #Artemis #SpaceScience #Moon #HumanSpaceflight
