Artemis II lifts off of pad 39B, as seen from right outside the fence. On April 1st 2026, NASA’s SLS rocket flew off the pad at 6:35 PM. Perfect light and not a cloud in the sky. The greatest launch I have ever seen by far. Four astronauts are now in low earth orbit, bound for the moon and to travel further than any human ever has. A big thank you to the hardworking employees at NASA who got this beautiful rocket off the ground. I know this moment was even more special for them than it was for me. Good luck to the crew on the rest of their journey! This video was shot on a remotely triggered video camera placed less than half a mile from the rocket. I am so so proud of it and ecstatic that it came out. 🎥 me (@nyoom.tm) for @thelaunchpadnetwork

SPACE SHUTTLE LAUNCH 🌏 Part 324 ✨FUN FACT : The Space Shuttle’s two solid rocket boosters that produced about 5.3 million pounds of thrust more than 70% of the total power needed to leave Earth. For the first two minutes, those boosters did most of the work, burning through about 11,000 pounds of fuel per second each before separating and parachuting back into the ocean to be reused. 🧑‍🚀 Follow @spacegenerationx for more space content #nasa #space #fyp #astronomy #science

Starship’s tenth flight test lifted off on August 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. CT from Starbase, Texas, marking a major step in developing the world’s first fully reusable launch vehicle. Every key objective was met, providing critical data to refine designs of the next-generation Starship and Super Heavy. Super Heavy successfully lifted off with all 33 Raptor engines, followed by a hot-staging maneuver as Starship’s six engines ignited to separate and continue to space. The booster completed a boostback burn, initiated its landing burn with an intentional engine cutoff, hovered briefly above the water, and splashed down as planned. Starship achieved its suborbital trajectory, deployed eight Starlink simulators in its first payload demonstration, and performed the second ever in-space Raptor relight, proving a key capability for future missions. During reentry, the vehicle’s heatshield and structure were tested under extreme conditions before it executed a landing flip, burn, and soft splashdown in the Indian Ocean. For SpaceX, success in this campaign is measured by what can be learned, and Starship’s tenth test flight delivered valuable data by pushing vehicle limits while demonstrating new capabilities! Once the FAA and Fish & Wildlife approve the flight, this is how the next Starship launch should look. Note the hot staging where engines on the upper stage Starship ignite before booster seperation. This reduces gravity losses but does does add some shielding weight and complexity on the first stage. Also note the outer engines lighting before the center engines. ✅Follow: @epic.spaceflight for more 📸Credit: @tijnm_02 go follow him! . . . #space #spaceflight #texas #spacex #starship #superheavy #booster #epicspaceflight #spacenews #starbase #bocachica #orbit #astronomy #astro #2023 #future #science #tech #technology #engineering #elon #elonmusk #nasa #aerospace

On January 19, 2025, during Starship Flight 7, SpaceX’s Super Heavy booster made a flawless return to the launch pad, caught by its massive mechanical arms. This reusable rocket milestone demonstrates how close we are to rapid, fully reusable spaceflight—boosters landing safely, ready to be refueled and flown again, paving the way for more frequent and affordable space missions. #SpaceX #Starship #SuperHeavy #BoosterLanding #ReusableRocket #Flight7 #SpaceTech #RocketLanding #SpaceInnovation #FutureOfSpace

OFFICIALLY MOONBOUND 🚀 For the first time in over 50 years, humanity is officially returning to the moon. Following a thunderous liftoff from the Kennedy Space Center, the Artemis II crew is currently surging through Earth’s orbit, preparing for the trajectory that will take them home to the moon. It’s the ultimate high-stakes flight test for NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) and the Orion spacecraft. On board, Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen are making history as they transition from our atmosphere into the deep-space void. The following 10-day journey is a meticulously planned masterclass in deep-space navigation. After a high Earth orbit to validate the Orion’s life-support systems, the crew will venture 252,000 miles from Earth to perform a lunar flyby. They will travel roughly 4,700 miles beyond the lunar far side, reaching the farthest distance from home that any human has ever traveled. Every mile of this mission is designed to stress-test the navigation and communication arrays required for future permanent lunar landings and our eventual leap to Mars. #fyp #artemis #moon #edit #nasa
