Mulch bed remodel. No idea if this is true or not but I heard it’s actually not good to mound up your mulch on your trees base. It encourages the roots to stay closer to the surface and causes water to retain close to the base of the tree making it weaker. I used @edgingengineered tree ring to redo this area completely. I added extra boxes I had laying around as “weed fabric” and covered with a generous layer of mulch. Hopefully I’m not picking too many weeds out this summer… I’ll let you know.
