As if getting into UF wasn’t hard enough?!?😩 In response to the record-breaking number of applications received by Florida public universities this year, Florida lawmakers are proposing to cap the number of out-of-state students at Florida public universities to no more than 5%. This is a direct effort to make it easier for in-state students to attend the public universities their parents pay taxes for, even though out of state students are a significant revenue source for these universities. Also, if you do the math, this will likely make it harder for an out-of-state student to get accepted to the university of Florida than it is to get into most Ivies - the competition is about to become that intense.
