On August 17, 2025, several West Jordan homes caught fire and were damaged. A group of teens jumped into action and saved two dogs from one of the burning homes. 17-year-olds Carter Jacobson, Gabriel Hernandez, and Camerin Inselsberger were doing yard work nearby when the fire started. They all jumped in to help. At first, the teenagers tried knocking on the door, worried that there were people inside the house. Then, the boys and Camerin’s father took turns hitting and kicking the door until they were finally able to gain access to the home. Despite the fact that the home was actively burning, the teenage boys ran into the home and rescued the two dogs.
