Comment ‘send’ to learn how to validate feelings without feeling like you’re incriminating yourself :)

Love What You See in the Mirror Sheryl Lee Ralph reminds us that true confidence begins within. You can’t control how others see, treat, or value you — some won’t like you, love you, or even respect you — but none of that defines your worth. What truly matters is the relationship you have with yourself. When you look in the mirror, you should be proud of the person staring back. Self-love is not arrogance; it’s the foundation of strength and peace. When you learn to validate yourself, the opinions of others lose their power, and you move through life grounded, resilient, and free. If we say “You’re okay,” we are telling our child “What you’re feeling isn’t real. Nothing is wrong.” It invalidates what they are feeling and experiencing. It teaches children to hide their emotions and feelings because they are not accurate, important or real. Children are just learning to understand and label their own emotions, so negating what they’re feeling sends confusing mixed signals. If we do this too much, we risk giving them the impression that it’s not okay to share our feelings with others. Our biggest priority in these moments of stress should be validating and acknowledging children’s feelings, then co-regulating their emotions. It’s okay to not be okay 💕

HEY! Just a reminder that your self-worth is not a group decision. You don’t need to view every person, every opinion, every situation, or outcome as a source of approval or disapproval. You, yourself (party of one) decide your value, your character, what’s acceptable vs what’s not. ❣️ #selfawareness #selfacceptance #selfworth #selfconfidence #validation #validateyourself #personalgrowth #confidencequotes #boundaries #selfconcept #codependency #positivepsychology #ifs

a harsh reality _ 652 It’s all up to you. What we don’t know until later in life is how important it is to prioritize yourself. There will be people who come and go in your life. There to help validate your callings. But they won’t be there forever, you will. Love yourself for what you offer to this world. It’s a lot more than you think.

Nobody’s gonna believe in you more than YOU. So stop waiting for a coach to validate you. Stop waiting for someone to hand you an opportunity. Bet on yourself. Do the work. Make them notice. Because when you carry yourself like a winner—when your work ethic matches your goals—they have no choice but to pay attention. It starts with YOU. Ready to go all in on yourself? How to actually learn self validation: Self-validation is a topic that's so overlooked! It's so natural for us to ask for opinions or praise, that sometimes we're not able anymore to self validate. But you are the only person who will be in your life 100%, so detach from the need of external validation and shift it to yourself to be able to become confident and secure within:) Follow @rosalieetara for more episodes 🤍 #selfvalidation #peoplepleasing #howtobeconfident #socialanxiety #externalvalidation #pickme #comfortadvice #comfortcreator #selfimprovement #mindset

The worst part isn’t losing them, it’s realizing they were never truly there when you needed them most. Healing starts when you stop giving your all to someone who only shows up when it’s convenient for them. #Heartbreak #MovingOn #EmotionalHealing #ToxicRelationships #SelfWorth #HealingJourney

Here’s a friendly reminder for you all in this world: you don’t owe anyone anything. The first thing I would argue against this, would be to say everyone should at least owe respect. But it’s just not how the world works in a difficult age. Some things you cannot reason with. Some hardships you do not have to stand. Some opinions you do not have to validate. You don’t owe anyone anywhere at anytime, anything. That feels almost nihilistic but hopefully it brings more catharsis than not. Especially in the age of the internet when people feel they are owed something from you because they know of you, or because they want something they feel they’ve earned. This is no concern of yours. People expect me to use my platform in a certain way, to say and do certain things, but it’s not my mission. What motivates me is mine alone and up to me. We live, I believe, in a world where the good people constantly bend over backwards to do so much for people who at the end of the day don’t even care. They don’t care about them or their actions all they want is selfish and unending. And bad people do so little, but demand loudly and so often good people just scrape by quietly trying to do what’s morally right in their hearts. The balance needs to return to the favor of good natured kindness. But in order to do that we have to stand up for ourselves. Stand up for what we believe in. And now allow an apathetic and power hungry spirit to feast on us. You don’t owe anyone anything. Be the best you can be, but be sure to stand up for yourself, you have worth and value and no one can strip that from you. #1924us #life #art #love #beautiful #animation #cool #fyp #explorepage #hope #motivation #inspiration

Commemt "breathe," and I will share a self-help manual for social anxiety. Have you ever felt like you’re too much… or not enough? Like every word you say is being judged, or that you’re somehow a burden just for existing in the room?😓 That’s what social anxiety can feel like, an invisible weight you carry in every interaction. It’s not just nervousness. It’s overthinking every message, replaying every word, and wondering if people actually like you or are just being polite.🧐 If you’ve ever felt this way, then you’re not alone, and your fears make sense. The need to feel accepted is human. ❤️🩹But social anxiety turns connection into something that feels dangerous or fragile. Healing starts with awareness and compassion for yourself. You don’t have to “fix” yourself to be loved. You just need space to breathe, understand your patterns, and gently challenge the stories anxiety tells you.🌻 💌 I’ve put together a short self-help manual for social anxiety with gentle tools to help you. If this reel spoke to your heart, comment “breathe” and I’ll send it to you.✨ Note: I invite you to use the information I share here as a guide. Everyone’s journey is unique, so some strategies or tools might not apply to your specific situation. Please check the disclaimer in my highlights. Take care of your mind and body. Use discount code IG30 for $30 off the cohort registration fee! Struggling to validate your partner? Confused what validating emotions actually means? You’re not alone. Validation is one of the most powerful tools in a relationship, but for many people, it feels forced, fake, or even manipulative. Maybe you think: ❌ “If I validate them, I’m admitting I’m wrong.” ❌ “They should just get over it—I don’t need validation when I’m upset.” ❌ “If I validate them, I’m just reinforcing their overreaction.” But here’s the truth—validation isn’t about agreeing, fixing, or conceding. It’s about making your partner feel understood. If validation feels unnatural, ask yourself why: 🔹 Does it feel manipulative? Maybe validation was used as a tool of control in your past. 🔹 Does it feel performative? If you weren’t validated as a child, offering it might feel foreign or inauthentic. 🔹 Does it feel like losing? If you were raised in a home where emotions were dismissed, validating might feel like admitting defeat. When you resist validation, pause and ask yourself: What belief is getting in the way? Validation isn’t weakness. It’s the foundation of emotional safety. If you want to break out of the cycle of defensiveness and disconnection, this is where to start. In my next live cohort, we’re breaking this down. You’ll learn: ✔️ How to validate without feeling fake or forced. ✔️ How to break past resentment that blocks connection. ✔️ How to receive validation yourself—so it doesn’t feel one-sided.
