story time! what’s so special about this class? a few groups before this one, I went up front and centre, and a few counts in, my mind blanked, it kept blanking and I had to fight through to the end of the choreo, feeling defeated I sat down to watch the rest of the solos and groups: I couldn’t help but think I failed Shanise, I thought I blew my chance, towards the end of the session she starts picking people out, and as I’m thinking that she’s for sure not going to pick me, she turns to me and gestures me onto the dance floor, I find a position on the sidelines and suddenly someone switches me into front and centre, again, everything is running through my head, the music starts playing, three counts in and one thought pops to mind, “I know this routine, I’ve done it before.” the rest is history, thank you Shanise for giving me a second chance, that’s why she’s the best this was a character defining moment for sure 🧠: @shanise_liang & @joonginthepark 🎶: @kehlani & @kwnway 🏠: @ventures.studio #sjlchoreography #joongchoreography #venturesstudio #choreography #dance
