I always wanted to be a dad. I weeped happy tears when my (then) GF told me she was pregnant. I wept uncontrollably happy when we went in for the sonogram and I still carry that picture to this day. My real life began 18 years ago today. I’ve had the most incredible adventures and have known the most amazing people - NOTHING comes close to the amazing adventure it is to be the Papa to the most incredible, sweetest, funniest … just best soul on this planet. As I anticipated, there was a small little drama happened in the morning during our school drop off. Parents are not allowed to enter to school anymore starting today and the boys were informed since last week. Gorgor started to weep at the entrance of the school. Although, he weeped, my gorgor has really grown up now. Without much hesitation, he followed Didi walked into to school sadly. Still weeping along the way, I see a brave little man of mommy, trying to control his emotion and took up courages to continue walking to his classroom. Didi on the hand, always steady & prepared for the worst. I saw his sad face too, but he’s always controlling himself not to easily cry type of kid. Am happy that Didi is always the one able to take the lead, so that gorgor is able to collect himself and follows. Although there was a little drama this morning, I’m proud of my JRBoys. After school pick up, we talked about this morning again & Didi was telling me he went to Gorgor’s classroom to check on him after he got his seats. He visited gorgor and they chatted abit, then gorgor started feeling better and stopped weeping then. This is love, this is their brotherly loves. I’m so touched when I know about this, one is caring, another one is braving himself. Gorgor has a lot of improvement this time round, at least he is not cranky and crying non stop. Weeping is just that he was scared, an emotion that he showed. I’m totally okay with this and I love him as much too. Everyone is different, my twins have different personalities. I had to take a break from social media because seeing a back to school photo just completely gutted me. Aiden would’ve been a junior this year, halfway done with high school, but it’ll never be. Even after several birthdays without my late husband, there is still so much pain that arises with these difficult dates. I can feel it in my body - the sadness, the tension, the longing, the anger - it’s all coming to the surface as his birthday approaches. He fought so hard, but in the end he was ready to go. His body was worn and he was so tired of hospitals and tubes and shots and chemo. He was at peace with his life coming to an end. But I wasn’t. Of course I wasn’t! To say that I weeped and wailed at his bedside is an understatement. In his final moments he couldn’t speak much and constantly slept. As I cried at his bedside, he briefly opened his eyes, looked right at me, and in the sweetest, most loving tone, he simply said “be calm.” I’ll grieve him forever - that’s the deal with love and loss. And as hard as it is, I will honor him by striving to take his council and live by his example to invite peace and calm into the difficulty of missing him. Georgia’s last days have been filled with so much goodness, we call them God’s fingerprints. ❤️ We showed up to a last minute photo shoot with @momentsbymelissamiller and found that she had invited @sadiemartinmedia to capture video footage of our shoot.
