It’s the friction you create with the air. It’s what makes a 6-foot piece of aluminum look like it weighs 100 pounds one second and nothing the next. Try these 10 ways to find your soul tonight: 1. Spinning Underwater: Imagine the air has turned into water. Every move requires 10x the effort to displace that density. 2. The Pocket: Move slower than the beat, then “snap” into the count at the last possible millisecond. It creates a visual tension the audience can feel. 3. Feather Grip: Hold the pole with only your fingertips. If you’re “choking” the equipment, you’ll feel the lack of flow immediately. Let it breathe. 4. Eyes-Off Training: Spin in total darkness.
