5 things every ball python owner should know 🐍 1️⃣ Heat is critical – keep a warm side around 88–92°F and a cool side around 76–80°F so they can regulate their body temperature. 2️⃣ Humidity matters – aim for 55–70% (70–80% during sheds) to prevent stuck shed and health issues. 3️⃣ Feeding varies by age – younger snakes eat more often, while adults are usually fed every 4 weeks. 4️⃣ Hides are essential – they need tight hides on both the warm and cool sides to feel safe. 5️⃣ They need space – adult ball pythons should have at least a 4x2x2 ft enclosure so they can stretch out, climb, and explore. #BallPython #reptilelover #exoticpets #animallover #reptilekeeper

The first ball python was not preserved in the globe, and the second one was. The first snake was preserved in a cylindrical jar, and so his body molded to that shape. I later switched him to a globe and had to manipulate his stiffened body quite a bit to get him to fit. Hence the empty spaces. The second ball python I preserved inside the globe from rhe start, so I was able to fit its body to coil around the globe while he was still soft and pliable. Hence most of the space is filled. Different people have different preferences, but if you have a specific positioning in mind, make sure you keep in mind that formalin will stiffen the specimen up, so you should position it early! #wetspecimen #formalinfixed #taxidermy #oddities #petpreservation

This is Canela! She’s my first ball python that I’ve gotten a few years back. She is a banana cinnamon morph, hence her name🥰. I know that there’s a lot of hate towards ball pythons in the reptile community, but I still personally love them! Their personalities are all so different, and they’re the perfect snake to just chill with you. Canela is super curious and loves exploring and climbing. Plus, her face is the cutest ever!! 🥰💖
