Follow @a_blonde_momment and comment HEAT for a direct link. Why did no one tell me toe warmers existed?! I’ve always use hand warmers but these are a cold weather necessity. These warmers are perfect for skiing, playing in the snow, or any outside activity or sporting event. Extra tip- wear one pair on the top of your toes and one on the bottom for extra warmth! If a runner, wear them on the top as to not mess with your stride and support. Follow for more products & tips! Share with someone who needs this for cold weather. 🔥 #winter #winteressentials #skiing #snow #amazonfinds #founditonamazon #millenial #millenialmusts #coldweathergear #toasty #warm #handwarmer #outdoors #hiking #tubing #footwarmers #staywarm #hothands #running #runner #parenting #freezing

Base layers matter! Comment “Winter Outfit” for all the links. ❄️ Base Layer: my best-fitting petite friendly merino base is actually a kids set that I included in the links (sz 11-12 fits me perfectly like xxsp) Finely knit merino wool is great for staying warm without overheating indoors since it helps regulate your body temps, and can be more moisture wicking and odor resistant than cotton. However I haven’t found any merino base layer tops with a low neckline, so still wear this synthetic scoopneck thermal top often! ❄️ Mid Layer: cashmere is lightweight yet warm. This is one of my favorite affordable cashmere cardigans that is petite friendly. I also like a looser cut jean or pant to fit comfortably over base layer pants. ❄️ Outer Layer: lined wool coat or water resistant down puffer coat ❄️ Winter Accessories: linked a pair of leather gloves starting in size XS if you have small hands! This is exactly how to dress in -30 °C / -22°F🥶 1️⃣ Merino wool base layers With these temperatures I wore two layers: a thin base layer + fleeced trousers and an extra merino shirt. ⁉️Why: Traps body heat, wicks sweat away from your skin, and keeps you warm even if you move a lot. Socks matter too! Merino wool controls moisture! 2️⃣ Fleece jacket ⁉️Why: Extra insulation layer, cozy and lightweight. 3️⃣ Ski trousers ⁉️Why: Keeps your legs warm and dry during snow hikes. 4️⃣ Lightweight down jacket ⁉️Why: Traps warm air close to your body; compressible so you can layer more on top. 5️⃣ Waterproof hardshell jacket⁉️Why: Blocks wind, snow, and rain and is essential for staying dry and warm. 6️⃣ Extra woolen socks ⁉️Why: Adds insulation and cushioning for your feet. 7️⃣ Big waterproof winter boots ⁉️Why: More air = more insulation. The bigger, the better, even though it feels weird when you try them on at first but it makes a huge difference! 8️⃣ Neck gaiter (+ balaclava) & woolen beanie ⁉️Why: You lose ~50% of body heat through your head. So cover ears, forehead, nose, mouth, and neck to avoid frostbite. 9️⃣ Gloves: Thin merino liners + insulated mittens (not gloves!) ⁉️Why: Mittens are best for extreme cold, they have less surface area for heat to escape. ‼️Definitely invest in hand warmers inside mittens.# Pack an extra pair of liners, you’ll probably lose one 🙃 🔟 Overall / snowsuit ⁉️ Why: Worn over everything else. You might look like a little minion, but you’ll be warm and cozy ✨ Extra gear tip: Heated gloves and socks are total game changers if you want to survive long days outside! 🔥

What Joona, the co-owner, wears on a ski expedition in extreme cold temperatures: 1. Base layer: merino wool next to skin. Gives warmth even when moist. 2. Mid layer: wool or a wool blend. Wool is warm and doesn’t smell. 3. Wool socks makes your feet nice and toasty! 4. Weatherproof hard shell to block wind and snow. Sometimes cotton/polyesther is great too! 5. The same layering principle applies to hands and feet 6. Proper winter boots with wool felt or in this case ski boots. 7. Thick, puffy down pants and a down jacket for insulation. This layer has to be thick! www.pihkaoutdoors.com #winterlayering #coldweathergear #adventuretravel #winterexpedition #outdoorclothing

We learned the hard way—fighting the cold is a science and an art. Here’s what worked for us: ✔️ Base layers to trap heat ✔️ Insulating mid-layers for warmth ✔️ Waterproof outer layers to block the wind and snow Pro Tip: Wear 2-3 layers of socks to keep your feet warm and a mitten inside your gloves. Your toes and fingers are most prone to frostbite in extreme cold! 🧤🧦 What’s the coldest temperature you’ve experienced and where?
