PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) patterns for the lower limb involve diagonal and rotational movements that mimic functional activities. The D1 flexion and extension patterns are commonly used to improve neuromuscular control, strength, and range of motion. #physio #physiotherapy #trending #medical #instagood #health #physiolife #medico ⸻ D1 Flexion Pattern (Flexion, Adduction, External Rotation) Starting Position (for D1 Flexion): • Hip: Extension, Abduction, Internal Rotation • Knee: Extension (can vary) • Ankle and Foot: Plantarflexion, Eversion • Toes: Flexed Movement Pattern: • Hip: Flexion, Adduction, External Rotation • Knee: Flexion or extension depending on goal • Ankle and Foot: Dorsiflexion, Inversion • Toes: Extension Functional Example: • Crossing one leg over the other (like putting on a sock or stepping into a car) ⸻ D1 Extension Pattern (Extension, Abduction, Internal Rotation) Starting Position (for D1 Extension): • Hip: Flexion, Adduction, External Rotation • Knee: Flexion (can vary) • Ankle and Foot: Dorsiflexion, Inversion • Toes: Extended Movement Pattern: • Hip: Extension, Abduction, Internal Rotation • Knee: Extension • Ankle and Foot: Plantarflexion, Eversion • Toes: Flexion Functional Example: • Pushing the foot down and out to the side as in kicking something behind and away ⸻ Verbal Cues for D1 Flexion: “Bring your foot up, in, and across—like you’re crossing your leg.” Verbal Cues for D1 Extension: “Push your foot down, out, and back—like you’re stomping away.”

PNF Learning, Diagonal 1: Flexion-Abduction-Endorotation. #fypjangkauanluas #viralreelschallenge #physiotherapy_world #therapeutic #PNF #mahasiswafisioterapi #exercise #everyoneactivefollowersシfypシ゚viralシalシ #everyonehighlightsfollowers #exercisemotivation #physio #fisio

PNF lower limb D1 & D2 flexion–extension patterns ✨ These are widely used in rehab for stroke, spinal cord injury, orthopedic and neuro patients. 👉 They improve gait training, balance, muscle strength, coordination, and range of motion. Shoulder Strengthening PNF Part I Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) pattern is a great way to improve coordination of movement and strengthen in all three planes of motion. Another great reason to love PNF is that it is extremely FUNCTIONAL. You probably perform most, if not all PNF patterns throughout the day! Let’s focus on PNF pattern for the shoulder today, specifically the D1 movement. D1 FLEXION is comprised of shoulder FLEXION, ADDUCTION, and EXTERNAL ROTATION D1 Extension is comprised of shoulder EXTENSION, ABDUCTION, and INTERNAL ROTATION Next week, we will go over PNF D2 pattern! ☝🏻 Know anyone who can benefit from this post? Share your pro tip! 🙋🏻♂️ Questions and comments are always welcomed.
