Stop doing dumbbell flies like this… In the top clip, you’ll notice my arms are completely straight. Hard to see the full frame, but that small mistake puts way more stress on your shoulders and biceps instead of targeting the chest. By simply bending the arms slightly, I’m able to get a deeper, safer stretch and keep the tension exactly where I want it – on the chest. It’s a small tweak, but it makes a huge difference in how the movement feels and how effective it is while keeping it much safer and reducing the risk of injuries.

Dumbell fly is an important exercise for better Muscle activation & keep your chest muscles pumped up without fatiguing your tricep. Dumbell fly is a great exercise between two pressing movements. Bent-Over Dumbbell Reverse Fly (Kneeling or Bent Position) This exercise targets the rear deltoids, upper back, and trapezius muscles. Doing it while bent forward (or kneeling on a bench) helps isolate the rear shoulders and avoid using momentum. ⸻ How to Perform: 1. Starting position: • Hold a dumbbell in each hand with a neutral grip (palms facing each other). • Bend forward at your hips until your torso is almost parallel to the floor (or rest one knee on a bench if preferred). • Keep your back straight and core tight. • Let the dumbbells hang naturally under your chest with a slight bend in your elbows. 2. Execution: • Raise both arms out to the sides in a wide arc until they’re in line with your shoulders. • Squeeze your rear delts and upper back at the top. • Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position while maintaining control. 3. Breathing: • Exhale as you lift the dumbbells. • Inhale as you lower them down. ⸻ Tips: • Focus on slow and controlled movement — avoid swinging. • Keep a slight bend in your elbows to reduce shoulder joint stress. • You can perform it seated, standing, or kneeling (kneeling helps stabilize your body and prevent cheating). • Best done with light to moderate weight for high muscle activation and proper form.#gym
