Executive function is a proactive skill set. That’s why it doesn’t develop when you are reactive. Reminding a kid for the third time, yelling about how you’re sick and tired, constant correction won’t actually help them develop the skill because the skill is proactive. If we want to facilitate a proactive, self-directed effort, then we have to create lines of questioning and collaborative, thinking that are proactive and help a child direct himself. Start in the car on the way home. Make it a routine. Make the questions predictable patterns. #growthmindset #middleschool #parentingtips #teenager #fyp

Why do ADHD people play the same song on repeat like a broke

Why do ADHD people play the same song on repeat like a broken record?” If you have ADHD, your brain has lower baseline dopamine in the prefrontal cortex. Which means you’re constantly looking for predictable reward. So when a song hits? Your brain goes: “Oh. We found it. This works. Don’t lose it.” I used to think I was just obsessive. I’d listen to one workout song 30 times in a row. One study playlist. One driving song. But when I learned ADHD is a regulation issue, not a motivation issue, everything clicked. When you listens to the same song • It’s a guaranteed dopamine spike • Predictability calms your nervous system • It regulates your emotional state • It gives perfect stimulation (not too much, not too little) • It becomes a cue for executive function You’re not weird. You’re regulating. Music is one of the key parts to rewiring your brain for success! If you want to learn how to use dopamine on purpose for fat loss, energy, and focus… Comment “REWIRE.” To come join the 21-Day ADHD Fitness Rewire Challenge you’ll learn my proven system to rewiring your brain and taking your adhd life to the next level 🥰🥰🥰

Executive communication sounds scary 😬 but it's simpler tha

Executive communication sounds scary 😬 but it's simpler than you think. Interestingly, the principles of a👌🏼TikTok video apply directly to how you communicate with senior leaders in your company. Here's why: 1️⃣Time efficiency: You’ve got about 15-30s in a TikTok video to communicate to someone that you’ve got something to share, that they need to listen to. Same for execs. You always have less time with them, so all your comms need to be waaaay more concise. 2️⃣ Context: Executives have a broad perspective. Their view is from a higher altitude. Connect *your* topic to *their* priorities and problems they’re trying to solve. ✨ Tips ✨ 👉🏼 Quickly establish what you’re actually talking about and why they should care. It’s called the “What” and “So What” (aka why is this important to them, what big thing does your update connect to). 👉🏼 Start with the conclusion (the key takeaway, the answer, the request you have of them). Don’t take them on a journey. They don’t need all the details (and they’re very good at asking if they do). Get right to the meat. 👉🏼 Start simple (practice explaining you’re thing like you would to a smart 12 yo). It’s counterintuitive (surely I need to sound as smart and complex as possible!) but remember, they’re across 20, 30, 40 different topics and problems at any time for the business. No one ever gets upset by simple, clear and human communication. 👉🏼 Know what your ask is. What do you actually want them to do? By when? Be specific. 👉🏼 Don’t be scared — it’s just a person who was young once too and good leaders will remember exactly how it feels to be in your shoes and be nervous. 👉🏼If they rush you or sound direct/short, they ‘re probably not trying to be rude. If you hear them saying “yup, yup, yup” (it’s called chirping) it might mean that they know what you're talking about and you have permission to get to the point / cut some of the details. #executivecommunication #leadership #careeradvice #communicationtips #businessskills #successtips #careergrowth #personaldevelopment #genz #youngprofessionals #earlycareer #corporategirl #careeradvice #communicationskills

You know that feeling when a room gets so cluttered it feels physically heavy in your body. Chest tight. Irritated. Frozen. That’s ADHD overwhelm. Your brain sees “too much” and dopamine drops. The prefrontal cortex taps out. So you do nothing. So I use the 10 Rule. Every time I Walk in the room. Put away 10 things. Tiny wins kick dopamine back online. Momentum follows. Often I don’t stop at 10, but even if I do - I slowly chip away at progress. and I typically start with the low hanging fruit. The easiest things. A piece of garbage or putting away dishes. But after you get through the initial stuff, then you start to realize the pieces that are really dragging you down, and when the other clutter is gone it gives you more focus to make it feel manageable. That’s how you hack an ADHD brain. ✅Comment BLUEPRINT And I’ll send you my 10 BioHack Blueprint #adhdwomen #adhdbrain #executivefunction #dopamineregulation neurodivergentlife

Good leaders set more than strategy. They set the emotional
1,027,197

Good leaders set more than strategy. They set the emotional climate of the team. Leadership experts often say that “leaders bring the weather.” That means the energy a leader brings into the room becomes the environment everyone else works in. If a leader shows up frustrated, stressed, or reactive, that tension spreads across the team. People become cautious, communication breaks down, and performance usually drops. But when a leader brings calm, clarity, and confidence, the opposite happens. The team feels more secure, more focused, and more willing to perform at a high level. Leadership is not just about decisions and direction. It’s also about the emotional environment you create every day.
