How an embossing tool can help with creating veins?🍃 When drawing leaf veins, achieving very thin lines with graphite can be challenging. An embossing tool helps by gently creating shallow indents in the paper first. These indents guide the graphite, allowing the veins to appear fine and precise without pressing hard or making the lines too dark.

These are the tools used for my cast drawing : White chalk – to indicate the lightest values and highlights over a mid-tone ground, helping to establish the planes of the cast. Nitram charcoal – for deep, rich darks and expressive shading, allowing me to define the volume and contours of the form. Mono Zero eraser – for precision work and refining small details, creating smooth transitions and delicate highlights.
