TO: All Agents FROM: M SUBJECT: Hamstring Walkouts TARGET: Hamstrings 1. LIFT UP: Lie on your back, knees bent. Drive your heels down and squeeze your butt to lift your hips into a high bridge. 2. WALK OUT: Slowly take tiny steps to walk your heels away from your body, keeping your hips as high as possible without letting them drop. 3. WALK BACK: Reverse the steps, dragging your heels back in until you reach the start, still keeping your hips strongly elevated. Good luck, agents. Don't cock it up. Hamstring Walkout Tutorial 🔥 This one burns… and for good reason 👊 Hamstring walkouts are an awesome exercise to strengthen your hamstrings, glutes and core while also improving control and stability. Key form tips: • Start lying on your back with your knees bent and feet flat • Lift your hips up into a strong bridge position • Slowly “walk” your feet out one step at a time • Keep your hips lifted the whole time — don’t let them drop! • Brace your core and squeeze your glutes throughout • Only walk out as far as you can while staying in control • Walk your feet back in slowly to return to the start Common mistakes to avoid: ✖️ Letting your hips sag ✖️ Rushing through the movement ✖️ Arching your lower back ✖️ Taking steps that are too big Remember: slower is harder with this one 😅 Quality over speed every time. Give it a go and let us know how far you make it! 🔥 #HamstringWalkout #ExerciseTutorial #GymTips #Hamstrings #Glutes

Try these 4 hamstring exercises to strengthen your posterior chain. No gym? No problem. Use a chair, couch, or table. 2–3 sets of: 1️⃣ Elevated hamstring bridge × 10 → If you’re strong, add 5 single-leg reps each side 2️⃣ Single-leg RDL / arabesque × 5 / 5 → Slow, controlled, hips square 3️⃣ Hamstring walkouts × 5 (out + back) 4️⃣ Elevated hamstring ISO hold × 30s Tips - If you’re doing this cold, spend 5 minutes warming up first - Walkouts: don’t go as far if it gets tough - ISO hold: bend the knees more to regress - Add this to the end of a home circuit or after a run - Quality > quantity — control every rep Strong hamstrings = resilient runners 💪🏻 #running #runner #runningstrength

3 hamstring exercises you should add to your programming 1. Hamstring walkouts, great to add isometric tension into varied positions, make sure to keep your hips extended 2. Weighted single leg deadlifts, not only are these great for your hamstrings but also your hip stability and balance, you can progressively load these for even more gains 3. Hamstring sliders, the action of flexing the knee with your hamstrings is incredibly important, if you have ever had hamstring tendinopathy and would struggle with this exercise, it could be your magic fix! Strong hamstrings equal better training and a happier lower back! Always be looking to challenge them #hamstrings #hipstrength

Most people only train their hamstrings in shortened positions (like leg curls) or only stretch them statically. But your hamstrings need to be strong while they are lengthening, which is how they function during running, lifting, and daily movement. Hamstring walkouts train: • Eccentric hamstring strength (injury prevention) • Posterior chain activation (glutes + hamstrings) • End-range control (where strains often happen) • Core stability while the legs move This makes them a great warmup before: • Running • Leg day • CrossFit/Hyrox style training • Speed or sprint workouts How to perform: 1. Start in a glute bridge 2. Slowly walk your heels away while keeping hips lifted 3. Only go as far as you can control 4. Walk back in and repeat Try: 5–8 controlled reps If your hamstrings only work well in their “comfortable” range, you’re missing the strength that protects you where injuries actually happen — at longer muscle lengths. Save this for your next warmup and follow for more physical therapist strength and injury prevention tips. #hamstringstrength (very targeted to the exercise) #injuryprevention (high search + saves) #physicaltherapy (positi

If you strained your hamstring, don’t rush straight back into running or sport. First you need to rebuild strength. These 4 simple band exercises train the hamstrings the way they actually work: • Hip extension (driving the leg back) • Knee flexion (bending the knee) • And combining both together That means you’re training all aspects of the hamstring, not just one movement. All you need is a band tied to something stable at home. Simple. Quick. Effective. Save this for later. #hamstrings #hamstringworkout #strengthtraining #physiotherapy #fyp

✨Runners, if you have consistent tightness or pain in your hamstrings during or after runs then you need to focus on strengthening them! 🧠 When a muscle is weak our nervous system likes to keep that muscle in a state of increased tone as a way to stabilize and protect. Also, if your hamstrings are not prepared for the amount of load you are placing on them during a run then this could lead to them feeling tight and fatigued during a run. Try these 3 exercises to improve hamstring strength & tightness! 1. Single leg RDLs (if this are too difficult start with B stance RDLs): RDL variations are great for strengthening the hamstrings and also improving hamstring mobility. I recommend trying to sets of 8 reps. 2. Long lever bridge with elevated leg: this exercise is great for improving strength both proximally & distally. I recommend trying 3 sets of 8-10 reps each leg. 3. Banded hamstring PNF: PNF exercises use a contract/relax method that can decrease the sensation of “tightness” in the muscle. PNF training is not the best option for building strength, but when combined with strength training it can be very beneficial. I recommend trying 3 sets of 10 reps each leg. Give these a try & let me know what you think!😊 #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #running #runnersofinstagram #strengthtraining #hamstringtightness #hamstring #run #movementismedicine #workout #strengthtrainingforrunners

💪 Exercise Focus: Standing Banded Hamstring Curl 🔥 Great for strengthening your hamstrings and improving knee stability. 🎯 Perfect for post-injury rehab or athletic conditioning. 👉 Try 2–3 sets of 10–15 reps each leg. #physiotips #hamstring #rehabexercises #physio #physiotherapy #rehab #prehab #gym #movement #bodyweight #exercise #stretch #weights #banded #bandedmovement

Prone ham curls are great but…your hamstrings do more then just bend the knee. If you do anything active… ✅SAVE this. Strong hamstrings help propel us forward, lift things, and move with speed! Hamstring strains make up a LARGE portion of sports injuries. 1/3 of hamstring strains will likely recur within the first 2 weeks of being back in play! In running, most hamstring strains happen during terminal swing, or when the leg is behind you. It has to be trained to properly handle high eccentric load to stay safe. Eccentric strength is the strength required to decelerate. ⚡️They need to be strong, but also need to be flexible. A lot of hamstring strains happen when the hip is flexed and knee is extended, often seen in dancing or kicking. So while bridges and hamstring curls are great exercises, they should not be the ONLY exercises. 🎖Honorable mentions: kickstand/SL RDL, seated tantrums, Nordic ham curls!! ⬇️Here's are some options to load up the hamstrings in different ways, where the hip is moving on a fixed knee, or vice versa. 1️⃣ Bridge + walkout 2️⃣ Multiangle SL bridge hip 3️⃣ tempo kicks + resisted drags 4️⃣ 1/2 kneel slides [+resistance] ⚠️ None of these should hurt. Variability in training this muscle is important to prepare it for al the cool things it does for us. Play with positioning, tempo, volume, and load! Don’t forget about NERVE mobility. How I train my hamstrings like an athlete not a bodybuilder Your hamstrings are built to absorb and redirect force, control your hip, stabilize your pelvis, and produce speed. But a lot of hamstring training we see in the gym only focuses on isolating the muscle and feeling a burn, rather than working through all the important roles the hamstrings actually play.
