Interlocking is one of the best methods. Its only downfall is that if it's done wrongly it's catastrophic. Athletes and people who sweat every day should consider interlocking as their go-to starting and maintenance method. Peace Out.

The interlocking method is used to keep locs neat and secure, especially for people with softer or finer hair textures. It helps prevent unraveling, reduces frizz at the roots, and lasts longer than palm rolling, making it great for active lifestyles or when you want to stretch the time between retwists.💫 #loclivin #locrepair #locretwist #locs #locjourney #loclovin #interlock #interlocking #ghanalocs #fyp #reels #explore

PERFECT REASONS WHY YOU MUST START YOUR LOCS JOURNEY USING CROTCHET METHOD 👇🏾👇🏾 1: More time in between maintenance Hair protective styles need a retwisting and relocating session. Crotchet is a technique that doesn’t require retouching frequently. In this hair protection method, you can delay the maintenance sessions. There is no more need to get retwists every month by palm-rolling and comb coiling techniques. It is one of the best methods of getting the locs that don’t need retouches very soon. 2: Best for thin hair This hair technique is best for people who have fine hair. The other traditional types of dreadlocks are mostly easier to install in curly hair, but this type of hair technique is best for thin, shiny, and straight hair people. As the tightening is performed using a specialized tool, it is easy to handle silky hair with this method. 3: Less hair products Mostly loctician use hair fixing products to keep the locs in place. For instance, hair setting wax and gels are available in the market after performing the technique. But, these products result in hair breakage and other hair problems. Interlocking locs don’t require any hair product for hair tightening. No need to use expensive after care products. Further, such hair products include harsh chemicals and ingredients that damage structure and imbalance the scalp pH. It is better to adopt such hairstyle which is low maintenance and doesn’t need extra time and money. 4: Uniform dreadlock results Crotcheting locs is one hair technique that helps you get uniform dreadlocks regardless of your hair type, hair condition, and hair length. Often the other kinds of dreadlocks result in clumpy and bouncy locks, whereas this method helps get the locs that are uniform and neat. Would you consider interlocking? 🪡 Why or why not?? “Interlocking has a few very good benefits over retwisting and crocheting... 1. No products are needed, decreasing build up potential 2. Keeps your locs safe from unravelling because it’s a technique that secures the new growth 🔗 3. Unlike crocheting, the interlocking tool doesn’t thread your hair. Rather, it threads your locs underneath itself to retighten. When done right, it can be safer for your hair 👌🏽 Now interlocking does come with it’s risks, like weak spots in your locs and root if not done right, which is why it’s important you find someone who knows what they’re doing 🙏🏾” 🎥: @dahriinawilkinsondiy (STYLIST SPOTLIGHT) She’s a #LocLady 🌹 • • Got locs or a loc business? A retwist is not ment to be kept in for a whole month. That causes your locs to thin. A retwist does not loc hair. Shampooing does. The purpose of a retwist is to maintain your parts and keep the loc in a cylindrical shape. Retwisting is not relocking. Hair locs naturally. The locking process is natural or triggered by crotcheting. Interlocked hair doesn't quite loc. It's the easiest to comb out. Try it. Shampoo your locs in between your visits. Don't skip your monthly visit. Hair breaks of after being left unattended for 4 months. But if Shampooed, it mats up though in different shapes and sizes uncontrollably. That is why you go to your loc care giver. A retwistician can do this with eyes closed. You should learn how to do it yourself. No products needed. Products do not loc hair or even help to facilitate the locking process. I know my knowledge is not common. But then again I'm the OG. I speak from experience and deep research. Peace out
