Crochet beanie 🫶 because I know that you are looking for a quick and easy weekend project 💕 Probably the easiest project you can pick up as a beginner, or if looking to create something cute for yourself, or as a gift then this is it!! 🤍 ✨ I have a full in depth tutorial on my youtube channel and written pattern on my etsy and website, but here are the key details: • materials: medium weight yarn and 5 mm hook • chain approx 45 - determines the length of the beanie, include some extra chains for the brim. Measure this from the tip of your head over the forehead • Row 1: skip last 2 chains and do HDC in each • Row 2: turn your work, chain 2, do HDC in back loops • Repeat row 2 for as many times as needed until panel wraps around your head • connect first and last row • sew one end together • weave in loose ends, fold them brim and voilá! 🧶✨ Let’s knit the easiest beanie — perfect for beginners! For this hat you’ll need: • 1 skein of Be Me by @thewoolcatcher (100 g / 120 m) • 6 mm circular needles, 50 cm 1️⃣ Cast on Cast on 68 stitches using a stretchy cast-on method. Join in the round. 2️⃣ Ribbing Knit 2×2 rib (K2, P2) for about 59 rounds or 31 cm. This creates a beautiful folded brim and a perfect fit. 3️⃣ Decreases Now we shape the top of the hat: • Second-to-last round: Work the ribbing with decreases: – Knit 2 stitches together (K2tog) – Purl 2 stitches together (P2tog) Repeat to the end of the round. You now have 34 stitches. • Last round: Knit 2 stitches together all the way around. You now have 17 stitches. 4️⃣ Finishing Cut the yarn, thread it onto a needle, pull it through all remaining stitches, and tighten the top. One of the easiest ways to shape the crown of a beanie! This technique works perfectly for hats knitted in k1, p1 rib—and the best part? You can wear the hat on both the RS and WS! Sts are decreased with CDD (central double decrease) with central K stitch. Step 1, when you have p, central k, sts: slip the first p st, leave it behind your work, place k st first, then 2 p sts, knit all 3 sts together. Step 2, when you have 3 k sts: slip 3 sts together the right needle as if to k them, place the middle st first, knit 3sts together.
