It’s been a couple weeks since the Thalia Sweater test knit closed and the test knit began! The response to this pattern has been incredible and I appreciate all the loving support that has come in since the test call. There were so many applications, and only so many spots available to test knit. Since this pattern won’t be released until late June / early July, it’s easy to forget or miss the pattern release. I am officially calling for testers for my very first pattern—the Patrick Blouse!!! The application to test is linked in my bio! I am going to run the application for a week, it will close June 12, 2025 at 12 PM. Just some quick details about this pattern, the gauge is 18 sts per 10 cm / 4 in on 5 mm needles. Yarn specifications are loose but the amounts are laid out in the application. I have been in love with this sweater ever since I made it, and continue to wear it even as the weather gets warmer. 🧶 I started designing colourwork patterns after completing one colourwork project. Delusion? Confidence? Or found my calling? You choose… 🧶 I don’t like the name Pattern Knits. I chose it without enough thought, but I think I’ve gone too far to change it now…. But I do have two names in mind if I did rebrand. 🧶 I started off this project not weaving in ends as I go, and there are still some that haven’t been woven in… I’d love to say I learned from my mistakes, but it’s more of a ‘improved on my failings’ situation. I weave them in as I go about half of the time… 🧶 I don’t really wear hand knits. Hand knitted sock, and knitted hats in general give me *sensory feelings* and I’ve just never really knitted many jumpers or cardigans. I’d like to work on that though! 🧶 On days where I’m looking after my toddler, I spend her nap time knitting or designing. The washing up can wait. As can tidying away the toys from the playmat. 🧶 My yarn stash is overflowing but my time is not 💀 I have very little self control when it comes to buying squishy things… 🧶 I have big ambitions for Pattern Knits. I’m not ashamed to admit it, but I am slightly scared to!
