Okay, so the battle with my Tiger persists; but on balance (and hubby also made his preference known) the Tiger will now exist on a light blue background. So, I’m back where I began😤, but at least I now feel more secure in my decision. There is still a lot to do to soften edges and pull it all together but I know when I finally finish this painting that I will have learned a lot. Also, one comment this week really resonated with me; someone said that the dark background could be mirroring my emotional state. In retrospect it was; my little dog Sybie has been so poorly the last few days and I have used my time in the studio as a distraction from my distress. I’m hopeful she is now on the mend🤞🏻so the light blue now feels right, mirroring a more positive state of mind.
