Recently I received an email from a potential new client asking if I offer Luminary manicures. I let her know I don’t use that specific brand, but explained what I do offer instead. She shared that she was only interested in Luminary due to concerns about nail damage and thanked me for my time. That interaction stuck with me, because there’s a LOT of confusing information out there. A couple things worth knowing: •Nail damage is almost always caused by the nail technician or the client, not the brand or product itself. •Luminary is a soft gel, and while it is durable, there are many professional gel systems that offer equal (or better) strength, longevity, and nail health when used correctly. I completely understand why someone might think a specific brand is the “safe” choice; education matters. Healthy nails come from skilled technique, proper prep, and safe removal… not just a label 💅✨
