Fractions & multiplicative thinking were the focus but there are SO many directions to go with this. It all depends on the kids in front of you. Such incredible math discussion during this whole process! Our job as the Guides are to ask purposeful questions & push their thinking. When kids truly see multiplicative structure, multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 stops being a “move the decimal” trick and becomes real decision-making. In this reel, students are working with whole numbers and decimals and predicting what should happen: Will the number get bigger or smaller? By how much? That judgement matters - because if you don’t know the size is changing, you can’t self-check, and errors sneak through. In our lesson, students physically move the digits, then read and write the new numbers based on what they can see. It’s hands-on, visual, and builds that flexible thinking we want - not just a rule to memorise.

Euler’s Identity is this compact equation: e^(iπ) + 1 = 0 It brings together five fundamental constants: • e (base of natural logs) • i (imaginary unit, √−1) • π (pi) • 1 (multiplicative identity) • 0 (additive identity)  It’s a special case of Euler’s Formula: e^(iθ) = cos θ + i sin θ  When θ = π, cos π = −1 and sin π = 0, so e^(iπ) = −1 → e^(iπ) + 1 = 0  Why it’s deep: • It connects algebra, geometry, analysis. • It’s about rotating on the complex plane: multiplying by e^(iθ) is a rotation.  • It shows unity (1), zero (0), growth (e), circularity (π), and imaginary dimension (i) all in one relation. 📌 Mini challenge for you: What happens if θ = 2π in Euler’s formula?
