Je vous ai déjà parlé de POURQUOI cette veste ? 🩷❤️ ➡️ y’a plus d’un an, je cherchais un patron de barn jacket plutôt courte et surtout ZIPPÉE (le but c’est de ressembler à Matthew McConoghay dans Interstellar 🚀) Et après des heures de recherche, je n’étais tombée sur aucun modèle qui m’allait : soit la fermeture était boutonnée, soit la veste était trop longue, pas assez évasée (j’ai des hanches pas mal larges donc le but c’est que je puisse FERMER la veste 😭), non doublée, l’emmanchure n’était pas assez tombante… Donc quand c’est comme ça, hop on patronne 🫵🏼 J’ai fini par créer avec le temps plein de finitions différentes : plusieurs sortes de poches, de cols, de manches… Et c’est pour ça que je prends du temps avant de proposer le patron, parce que je veux proposer un modèle unique et intemporel qu’on peut modifier à sa guise, avec des explications claires 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 Donc patience les amies, ça arrive bientôt et ça sera : parfait ✨ (Le tissu c’est un ancien tissu IKEA 🤓) #sewing #handmadewardrobe #slowfashion #outfitinspiration #colorfuloutfit

I had an itch to make a jacket but make it wild and cool so I made this! I used the boxy jacket pattern by @_lostfabric. I quilted five panels that I used for my pattern pieces and then sewed it all together. I have several modifications I’ll be making on the next one but for my first go at it I’m really happy! I have really come to love quilting and sewing. Idk what it is but the ironing aspect of it all really is so much fun, like sure sew the seams and make the piece, yes that’s a lot of fun but the pressing is where the piece comes to life and there’s something that my ultra detailed brain just LOVES about it. I have some wool batting that I’m going to use to make another one, probably a bit longer and maybe more subdued but who knows, I’ll get into the design flow and it’ll be something wild and interesting.
