❌ Stop doing PUSH, PULL, LEGS (PPL) if you’re an athlete I used to follow this split myself Training like a bodybuilder Did I put on some muscles? Absolutely. But I couldn’t move well at all I became stiffer & slower… Why? 👉🏽 PPL isolates muscle group Rather than training movements & athletic qualities 👉🏽 PPL overfatigue your muscles Which affects your sports performance 👉🏽 PPL is also inefficient If you missed out on one session in a week You missed out on training the entire muscle group. So what’s a better way to train? > FULL BODY SPLIT < ✅ Covers different movements & aspects in 1 session ✅ Lesser fatigue ✅ Flexibility in scheduling ✅ Frequent exposure to key aspects ✅ Prevent imbalances Follow this workout structure: 1 - Sprint/Jump/Throw 2 - LB main strength 3 - UB main strength 4 - LB secondary strength 5 - UB secondary strength 6 - Accessories/core For example: 1 - Hurdle jumps (3x4) 2 - Box squat (3x5) 3 - DB bench press (3x6) 4 - Single leg RDL (2x8) 5 - Half kneeling cable row (2x8) 6 - Landmine rotation (2x12) If you haven’t grabbed my FREE 3-day full body training template Just comment ‘3’ below & I’ll send it over to your DM 👇🏽 (Make sure you’re following & allow people to message you) ___ #athletes #athletictraining #athleticperformance #fitness

Here’s a killer leg day from my new push pull legs split (running it through myself and with some clients before officially releasing it) Deadlift 1x5 [build up to one hard set] Romanian Deadlift 2x8 Leg Press 3x12 Walking Lunge 3x12 [each leg] 2-Up-1-Down Leg Extension [eccentric overload] Glute-Ham Raise 3x10 Leg Press Calf Raise 3x12 [pause each rep] My main goal with this program is proportional muscular development (I.e. bodybuilding) while at least maintaining strength on the Big 3 powerlifts using a very very minimal 1 hard set per week frequency. A little more than that for bench. Loving it so far!! 💪🏼 #pushpulllegs

Let’s talk training splits! A common theme that I see with most gym goers is the Push / Pull / Legs split. This is either a 3 day per week program or in some cases people repeat this twice over the week making it a 6 day training week. Does this work? Of course it does, but in my opinion, splitting up your upper push day from your upper pull day just seems like a waste of time. My alternative is a 4 day - Upper / Lower / Upper / Lower split. On the upper body days I do push AND pull together and superset between them. This allows me to get the same amount of volume in half the time. So unless you just love being in the gym 6 days per week, it’s just more logical to get it done in 4 💁🏻♂️ What’s your training split?

What is the best 5 day workout split? Comment “SPLIT GUIDE” for some structure on how to program for you.For myself this has been a variation of push pull legs and upper/lower. Split design is just a way to organize volume. Your volume needs will dictate how you need to lay it out for the week.Don’t get stuck into having to do a set day of chest or even a “push”. You can add other body parts to days if you need it. I have added all arms to legs days before, some call this a “limb” day. So stay flexible in building it for you. How to figure this out is what we teach in our J3U level hypertrophy lectures.Let me know what is your “best” split?
