I LOVE doing hourglass blocks this way because they all turn out different and it’s faster than doing the two-HST method. You can make them any size and they are easy to batch sew! Let’s make perfect hourglass quilt blocks with your AGF PURE Solids— the easy way! 🥰🧵​Hourglass quilt blocks are super versatile and fun to make with the bright shades of our #AGFPURESolids. There are endless possibilities for quilt designs and patterns. With this simple technique, you can create two blocks at a time quickly and effortlessly!⁠ ⁠ 🧵 Here’s how:⁠ 1️⃣ Take two 5” squares of contrasting fabrics and place them right sides together.⁠ 2️⃣ Draw a diagonal line. Stitch ¼” away from both sides of the line.⁠ 3️⃣ Cut along the drawn line and press seams to the darker fabric.⁠ 4️⃣ Place the two resulting HSTs right sides together, ensuring contrasting colors touch and seams nest.⁠ 5️⃣ Draw another diagonal line and pin to hold in place.⁠ 6️⃣ Stitch ¼” away from both sides of the new line.⁠ 7️⃣ Cut along the drawn line, creating two hourglass blocks.⁠ 8️⃣ Press the seams to one side and trim to 4” squares.⁠ ⁠ And there you have it, quilters! 🔥 No-Trim HSTs Block Tutorial! I LOVE the look of HSTs in my quilt but hate all the time & waste that comes with trimming them.
