📍 Solid Coffee Roasters, HB 🌟 Located in the heart of Surf City, this new coffee shop is def going to be a new study go-to next quarter. It’s only about 15 minutes from UCI, and there’s really nice seating and outlets inside! They’re opening this weekend on the 13-14th, where all of their drinks will be 25% off from 8am-2pm. WHAT WE ORDERED: 🌱 Banana Matcha: I loved the banana flavor in this drink, it’s really prominent and not artificial tasting. The cream on top is really thick, which I love, but the matcha taste could’ve been a little stronger. I’d give it a 6.5/10. 🌱 Strawberry Shortcake Latte: I love strawberry coffee and I can tell their coffee is their specialty from this drink alone. Their coffee is rich, smooth, and not too bitter at all, but I do wish the strawberry came through a bit more. 7.8/10! 🌱 Cookies and Cream Latte: this is one of their holiday drink specials but we didn’t try it since we had so many drinks, we gave it to some lucky stranger HAHA 🌱 Peppermint Latte: another one of their holiday drinks! Super pretty with the peppermint on top :) and also given to a lucky stranger 🌱 Croffle: This was a pretty tasty snack, it was a lot denser than most croffles I’ve had though. Solid 8 🌱 Ham and Cheese Croissant: I liked this one a lot better! 📍Solid Coffee Roasters - Huntington Beach A great spot in HB for good drinks, pastries, and work/study space! They have a pretty large menu to our surprise with classic and crafted drinks. They even have seasonal speciality drinks which are more experimental! The space is nice and modern, with a loft space with a lot of seating, and free wifi - making it a great place to work/study. ✨ We got: • Strawberry Matcha 🍓 - we really liked this one! Made with house made strawberry syrup, ceremonial matcha, and a strawberry cream top - the drink was nice and light with a perfect strawberry to matcha ratio. Really refreshing! • Win the Day ☕️ - coffee focused Viet cold brew coffee with condensed milk and a sweet cream top. A great option for a strong hit of coffee and a subtle sweetness. • Matcha Meadow 🍵 - a more matcha focused latte with hints of lavender and vanilla from their house made syrups. We did wish for the lavender to be more apparent in the drink but did find it to still be well balanced with all flavors. •Nutella Croissant 🥐 - large, warmed up, flaky, filled with ooey and gooey goodness. A great pastry for a sweet treat!! ✨ We really loved how all of their drinks were just the perfect amount of sweetness! The study space in here is so cute and I like how it’s the whole second floor. There aren’t that many outlets so if you need to charge maybe bring a portable. I liked their win the day coffee which is a viet coffee with sea salt cream on top. Their matcha flavor is not as strong as I like it to be but if you like sweet matcha then it would be good. Our favorite item was the onion chive pastry. It was nice and fluffy but the savoriness was perfect and it paired really well with the drinks. The matcha pistachio croissant was also really nice and the matcha crust was really yummy. It’s two-stories with a BUNCH of seating (AND OUTLETS!), WiFi, and delicious drinks & pastries. The strawberry matcha was so good and the winter menu was actually so yummy as well! The staff were super nice and super quick with making everything. The Gingerbread Latte was also so delicious and actually was super nice as a hot drink, rather than my usual iced only drinks. Coffee run turned into a neighborhood tour 😅☕️ Stopped by the newest coffee spot in Upland — Better Buzz Coffee Roasters — and honestly… the drive-thru might be one of the fastest around 👀 Good coffee, solid food options, and a great vibe overall. But what made it even better? There’s actually a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bath home listed right down the street through my brokerage in a quiet family-friendly neighborhood. Jaunt Coffee Roasters in San Diego! This is a pretty solid place, and I think I liked it a bit more than my contemporaries of @simplyycaffeinated haha. I thought the interior was really pretty and cozy, and I’m a sucker for anything foliage hehe. I enjoyed my caramel black salt latte, even if it was a bit on the sweeter side, there were good and subtle hints of the sweet and salty.
