4 ways to pair colours 🎨 A question I see in my inbox a lot is “what colour shoes should I wear with this dress??” - so I thought this might help! Save for later! 💕🤌🏼 1. Complementary Opposite sides of the colour wheel = high contrast, high impact. ✨ Try: Blue + orange, pink + green, yellow + purple 💡 Tip: Use one as your base and the other as a pop (e.g. accessories or shoes) 2. Analogous (Tonal) Colours that sit side by side on the wheel and they blend beautifully. Seen a lot in floral prints etc. ✨ Try: Red + coral + pink, blue + turquoise + green, camel + tan + rust 💡 Tip: Great for a soft, elegant look. Works especially well in muted tones! 3. Monochromatic One slice of the colour wheel, just different shades, tints, or depths. ✨ Try: All navy, chocolate brown with tan, lime with olive 💡 Tip: Easy way to wear colour if your style is more classic or minimal 4. Triadic Three colours evenly spaced on the wheel bold, but balanced.
