Here’s a recap of the art fair: from loading the car and hanging paintings to selling prints and demonstrating my work. The fair has given me such an energy boost that I feel like I could start another big painting right now. This feeling is incredibly valuable because I don’t always have that burning desire to paint every day. To sum up, you participate in an art fair primarily for yourself. If you’re not represented by a gallery, it’s essential to show your art to the world.

The Other Art Fair is coming back to Dallas May 7–10 and I’m genuinely so excited for this one. 🎨 I went last year and absolutely loved it, such a good mix of emerging artists, interactive pieces, and actually affordable art you’d want in your home. It’s one of those events you go to “just to look” and somehow leave inspired (or with a new piece 👀). If you’re into art, creative vibes, or just want a fun weekend activity.. this is worth adding to your calendar.

Take a tour of our exquisite fine modern art gallery. We represent world class artist such as Joel Amit, Adriana Naveh, Avi Ben-Simhon, Gadi Fraiman and more. #artgallery #modernartgallery #artcollector #goinguponatuesday

Showing at an art fair this year? Check out these 5 tips to help you generate sales and get more red dots! 🔴🔴👇🏻👇🏻 • • • • If you’re like me you’re always looking for the best fairs to show your art at. There’s lots of art fairs coming up this spring/summer where thousands of pieces of art fill up a convention centers. It’s truly remarkable the amount of art that is brought in and can sometimes feel overwhelming for artist, galleries, and buyers alike. It’s usually sensory overload when you take your first step into an art fair. So how do you make your art stand out from all the others? How do you get people to buy your art when there’s so much art to choose from? Check out my 5 tips below. 1️⃣ Be ready to speak to your work. People want to connect with the artwork they are buying. Why did you create this piece? How did you make it? What inspired you to make it? 2️⃣ Treat every single person that enters your booth like a potential collector. Don’t judge a book by its cover. 3️⃣ If you have a potential buyer- DO NOT let them leave your booth with out buying. If they do, your chances of closing the sale becomes significantly less. Negotiate. Come prepared to negotiate and have a lowest price already in mind. You have to realize that the “competition” is fierce at these fairs. I put competition in quotes because to me it’s not actually a competition, it just mean there’s an unlimited amount of art to choose from and I promise you a potential buyer will like more then 1 piece throughout the show. 4️⃣ Take down info from people that showed genuine interest in you and your art. Follow up with them after the show. With so many artists and galleries, you really never know when you will see an ROI from being there. Meet as many people as you can. Connect with as many like minded people as you can. 5️⃣ Be yourself and have fun. Collectors buy art because they vibe with the artist as much as because they enjoy the art. Again, there’s a lot of art to choose from, chances are a collector will buy your Mickey Mouse piece over the other Mickey Mouse piece because they clicked with you while you spoke with them. #arttips #artsales #artmarket #reddot #artdealer #artadvisor
