Adenium (Desert Rose) responds well to pruning and cutting, but timing and method are important. Here’s a clear guide: ✂️ When to Cut Adenium • Best season: Late spring to early summer (February-March, September-October) when it’s actively growing . • Avoid: Winter or dormant season, as the plant slows down. ✂️ Why to Cut • To shape the plant (make it bushier, compact, or bonsai style). • To remove dead/diseased branches. • To promote new shoots for more flowers. • For grafting or cuttings propagation. ✂️ How to Cut 1. Use sharp, sterilized scissors or pruners. 2. Make clean cuts just above a node (where leaves/branches join). 3. Thick branches – cut at an angle so water doesn’t collect. 4. Seal big cuts with fungicide, cinnamon powder, or garden paste to prevent rot. ✂️ Aftercare • Keep the plant in a shaded spot for a week after cutting. • Don’t water immediately after pruning—wait 2–3 days so wounds dry. • Resume normal care (sun + water) after new shoots start appearing.# #viralreels #plants #shorts #trends #instafit #adenium #instamood #diy #plantlover #fyp #homedecor #foryou #realitfeelit

I have made a LOT of mistakes over the years as we've learned to tend to our roses. Number 1 mistake! Underestimating how much roses LOVE to be pruned. They are strong, hearty plants that thrive with a solid trim. If you want the full length video comment ROSE and I'll send it your way so you can quite literally trim your rose bushes with us. Here are the main things to remember/steps we do when pruning: - cut out all dead canes/sticks first - then decide which of the remaining canes you will keep. For younger rose plants you'll keep 2-3, older 5-7 - take out any canes that are rubbing on each other - then working on one cane at a time cut about 1/3 of it off just above a leaf bud or node - the goal is that all of the canes and branches are reaching out and away from the middle of the plant to allow good air circulation - once you're done, clean up all debris, dropped rose leafs, cut off branches and dispose of them in your yardwaste or trash. Rose trimmings are not great for smaller compost containers because they break down too slow, and there is a chance that you could spread disease from one rose plant to another when you use your compost. Here in the PNW it's the perfect time to trim your roses - go take a look and see if the leaf buds are starting to swell! Pruning Shrub Roses: A Simple Guide Pruning is one of the simplest ways to support a shrub rose. It encourages strong new growth, maintains balance, and helps flowers open fully and evenly across the plant. Newly planted roses benefit from a light prune to remove any weak or unhealthy stems, while established shrubs can be shaped to control height, improve structure, and maximise flowering. Tidy up foliage and clear debris to reduce disease and support overall plant health. Watch as Liam, our Head Rosarian, demonstrates how to prune a shrub rose. #DavidAustinRoses #EnglishRoses #Pruning #ShrubRoses
