Add a little rustic charm to your Christmas tree skirt with this clever hack! 😉 Take inspiration from Frenchic Fan Kerry (over at @klk.interiors) who gave her tree skirt a mini makeover to co-ordinate with her updated festive decor! 🎄✨ Opting for our classic cream shade 'Creme de la Creme' from The Lazy Range as a base, before going in with our 'secret sauce' Frenchic Browning Wax to give it that rustic, wood look effect that compliments her rustic theme. ℹ️ Although Frenchic hasn't been tested specifically for use on natural rattan, some customers have achieved great success with the Al Fresco Range and The Lazy Range. This type of surface can be a challenge due to the open texture and natural porosity so it may take time and effort to achieve full coverage and a robust finish.

The holiday season is starting early in my house!! I *finally* finished this tree skirt pattern by @madswick_studio ! I say “finally” because while it may be early for 2025, I actually bought this fabric + the sewing pattern last November😂 so finishing this one was overdue!! Now to finish mine & my husband’s stockings… and needlepoint ornaments… and Christmas gifts…😅 #christmas #handmadechristmas

It has become my favorite new tradition in our home 🥰 This year we visited @sarahsfabrics on our way to Thanksgiving in Kansas. The details: - Tree Skirt pattern: Starburst tree skirt by @evquilts - Trace the hands on the non-shiny side of appliqué paper (I use Hugs’n Kisses semi-water soluble paper). If you want a particular hand to be on the quilt, trace the opposite hand (it will be mirrored when you add the fabric). - Press the shiny side of the appliqué paper to the wrong side of your fabric and cut the hand out of the fabric with about a 1/4” allowance around the paper. - Using a @sewline_official glue pen turn back the edges of the fabric - Sew with a blind/invisible/slip stitch around the perimeter of the hand to secure.
