The famous ROCK POOLS at Blackdown Tableland National Park Gudda Gumoo (Rainbow Falls) and the rockpools are two of the biggest highlights. The good news is, both are located on the same walking track! 📍Follow the path down to the Rainbow Waterfall but when you get to the steps take the path on the right.

Is located inland about 3 hours from Yeppoon for nearly a 10 hour drive from Brisbane. 1. Blackdown tablelands NP. These amazing pool are not on a designated walk. Park at rainbow falls and take the track to the top of the 240 stairs turn right. Head to the right and walk about 400m. The water was so cold it took my breath away! 2. Wallaman falls. Pretty from the lookout at the top but utterly breathtaking from the bottom. The walks 3.2km return and theirs warnings about it being crazy hard. The boys managed fine, but it is steep. Definitely pack water and bug repellant. 3. Paronella Park. Is a privately owned mystical wonderland. We purchased tickets but added a free drone pass which meant we had early entry and only shared the park with a few grounds staff! Pure magic. It had been on my Aussie bucket list for years and it absolutely blew me away 😍 This is Gudda Gumoo in Blackdown Tableland National Park! 🌴 It might be a little off the beaten trail, but boy oh boy is it worth the adventure out here 🥹 Here’s everything you need to know 👇🏼 ⛺️ Camp: @ Munall Campground (book online) 🚙 Car: 4WD recommended but could be possible in a 2WD if it’s dry and you’re super careful ☀️ When to visit: Get there early to avoid the crowds 💦 Must do: You HAVE to swim no matter the temperature because it’s that amazing - crystal clear water, rock jumps and swim throughs underwater! 📍 Where: In @visitcapricorn, 2 hours inland from Rockhampton 🚘 Drive to: The Gudda Gumoo (Rainbow Falls) car park 🥾 How long: Roughly 5km return if you visit the main falls AND these secret rock pool falls featured 🤫 Secret: These falls are actually above the main falls so make sure you turn RIGHT when you see the main track head down the stairs to the left ⛰️ Nearby: Be sure to visit Horseshoe Lookout for spectacular views and walk the short Goon Goon Dhina trail from the campground to see a beautiful Ghungalu rock art site ❤️💛🖤 Traditional Lands of the Ghungalu People Are you adding this spot to your Aussie bucket list? Blackdown Tableland National Park was not what we imagined but it was still good to get out and have a look at the country. Unfortunately when we arrived the roads were much worse than we read about so we had to turn around and call it a night on the side of the road. Still got to the main look out but not to the fresh waterfalls and swimming holes it is famous for. Lesson learnt to do some more research heading to new and unknown spots😅 #blackdowntablelands #rainbowfalls
