Healthier Bounty Easter Eggs In celebration of my favourite protein release of the year 😍 @macr0mike easter edition proteins are the goat! This recipe is super easy & uses minimal ingredients. It's like bounty creme chocolate bars shaped like eggs, mmmmm 🤤 Just 5 ingredients, 5 minutes, and lower carb. Ingredients: •1 cup of shredded coconut 70g •1/2 cup of protein 40-45g (I used @macr0mike white easter protein, DC: amb-noa) •1/4 cup maple syrup, 50ml •2 tbs canned coconut milk or yoghurt •70-80g chocolate (highly recommend lindt no sugar) Method: 1. In a blender or food processor (or you can use a mixing bowl), combine all ingredients except the chocolate. 2. Lightly wet your hands and form small egg shapes with the dough, place on a lined tray. Once all the dough has been used up, place in the freezer to firm up. 3. Melt your chocolate (optional with a tsp of coconut oil). Moving quickly, use 2 forks to dip each egg into the melted chocolate. Repeat until each egg is covered. 4. Freeze until firm. Enjoy 🥰 makes 12-15 depending on the size . Firstly let me say that Easter is once a year and special occasions like this are about a lot more than food so I don’t think it’s the time to be too concerned about chocolate, but so so many people have been asking me to please share my favourite Easter eggs for Kids so here are some of my favourite ones from the supermarket! I know some of these options are a bit more expensive than Cadburys or Nestlé’s eggs but I think, rather than buying multiple poor quality chocolate eggs, why not spend the same amount of money buying one really lovely good quality chocolate egg from a brand who is making chocolate the way it should be made?! With cocoa butter and milk and not trying to just maximise profits by using really cheap ingredients like palm oil 👎 In the end of the day, chocolate is not supposed to be made with Palm oil and I think it’s very sad that Cadbury’s is not the same quality that it used to be… once Mondelez International bought the company they’ve been putting profit over people by making cheaper and cheaper chocolate using palm oil and lower cocoa solids so it’s not even technically allowed to be called milk chocolate in the EU with only 20% cocoa solids! You can buy really gorgeous milk chocolate that has 30 to 32% cocoa solids and no palm oil like the lindt Gold bunny which Kids love, they also do an Easter egg with the gold bunny’s inside 🙌 I particularly love the Butlers bunny for kids. It’s a really fun size so kids will be excited to get it and it’s good quality chocolate with 32% cocoa solids and made with no palm oil 🙌 For older kids/adults who prefer milk chocolate the Lily O’Briens, simply better Dunnes eggs, & Toblerone are great options too. I didn’t have time to talk about eggs for adults but if you like dark chocolate there are some lovely ones, and the Dunnes simply better range has a gorgeous single origin Colombian 70% chocolate egg. Healthy Bounty & Carrot Cake Easter Eggs - combining the best of both worlds! 🐣 Ingredients (around 20 eggs) Carrot cake layer: 70 g dates 40 g almonds 1 small carrot (60g) 40 g oats ½ tsp cinnamon 1 pinch of salt Bounty layer: 200 g desiccated coconut 60 ml agave syrup 4 Tbsp melted coconut oil 120 ml coconut milk 200 g dark chocolate + 2 tsp coconut oil 20 g (vegan) white chocolate + ½ tsp coconut oil Method: 1. Add all ingredients for the carrot cake layer to a food processor and mix until you have a sticky consistency. Roll into small balls and transfer to the freezer. 2. Combine the ingredients for the bounty layer and mix until well combined. It’s okay to get your hands dirty. Transfer to the fridge for 5 minutes to get the right consistency. 3. To shape an egg gently press 1-2 Tbsp of the coconut mix in your hand, press a small mold in the middle for the egg yolk. Gently cover the egg yolk with the coconut mixture and shape into an egg. 4. Transfer the eggs for 30 minutes to the freezer before dipping into melted dark chocolate. 5. Store them in the freezer and let thaw for 10 minutes before you want to enjoy them. #healthysweets #eastertreats #ostern #eastereggs #gesundnaschen

Easter is less than five weeks away, so I thought I would cut into this @morrisons filled chocolate egg (that is surprisingly gluten free) so you know what to expect if you choose to buy this! The mini chocolate eggs on top were delicious, chunky, and tasted of lovely rich chocolate 🍫 When cutting into the egg, there is a nice thick layer of oozing caramel, which is deliciously sweet to try. The chocolate shell is enjoyable, but personally speaking, I felt the cocoa could have been a bit stronger. I had mixed feelings about the chocolate, honeycomb, marshmallow, rice crispy mix. In some ways it was nice, but it was also very sweet and almost powdery to the taste. Personally speaking I won't buy this again in future, but it was fun and exciting to try as a different gluten free option. #GlutenFree #EasterEgg #ChocolateEgg #FreeFrom #Morrisons
