Plato thought that debates were stupid and dangerous, and given that Plato is generally considered to be one of the greatest philosophers of all time, it might sound odd that he is so scathing of debates. But according to Plato, debates are never about philosophy or the truth. They are about ego, pride, and winning at any cost. In his Dialogues, Plato criticises the sophists, who, amongst other things, were professional debaters, and so they would teach members of the public how they could win at debates. They taught people certain tricks and tactics to speak well, to argue well, and to make the opponent look silly. Plato hated debates because it reduced philosophy to a competition. Both parties would try to outwit and out-speak each other in a kind of game. The Greeks called it eristic. The eristic debater would appeal to the audience, they would mock their opponents, and they would resort to any fallacious arguments so long as it meant they could win. Plato thought that debates were not just harmless fun, because the big problem with eristic is that those who are watching the debate will confuse the winner with the truth. But just because somebody has won a debate through wit and professional tactics doesn’t necessarily mean that they are right. For Plato, truth and philosophy is a much longer, collaborative, and dialectic process. So the next time that you watch a YouTube debate, or you see a smooth-talking, eristic actor at play, remember that while philosophy and debate might overlap, they are not always the same.

It’s how we learn anything whether we are aware or not. •Grammar •Dialectic •Rhetoric or •See one •Do one •Teach one Grammar: When you learn something new, you need to know the parts. The grammar. The definitions. Dialectic: After you know the names and parts, you do it. You try it yourself, learn from mistakes, and keep improving. Rhetoric: Eventually you can teach someone else. I’ll use sewing as an example. Grammar: Learn the parts of a sewing machine, definitions in sewing, definitions in fabric. Dialectic: Sew something! Rhetoric: Teach someone else, start a blog, sew for business The beautiful thing about learning is that something like sewing can be a lifetime of learning more and more. (Hint: God’s Word is the ultimate example of continuous learning through the stages.) Once you know the steps of how to learn, anything new can be broken down into the three steps over and over again. ⁨ 💢دیالکتیک💢 ✔️دیالکتیک (dialectic) کلمه ای است یونانی و در اصل از واژه دیالگو(dialogos) مشتق شده است که به معنای مباحثه و مناظره است. ✔️هگل وجود تضاد و تناقض را شرط تکامل فکر و طبیعت می دانست و معتقد بود که پیوسته ضدی از ضد دیگری تولید می شود. ✔️کلمه دیالکتیک در رفتار درمانی دیالکتیک به معنی تعادل یابی و مقایسه دو چیز است که در ظاهر با هم تفاوت دارند ✔️از آنجایی که واقعیت ایستا نیست به دلیل تاثیرگذاری و تاثیرپذیری انسان ها با تناقضات و تعارضات زیادی روبرو می شوند. ✔️مارشا لینهان معتقد است مشکل جایی ایجاد می شود که فرد در حل و فصل تعارض ها نمی تواند افراط و تفریط را کنار بگذارد. ✔️انسان ها فکر میکنند یا باید منطقی عمل کنند یا باید بر اساس احساسشان رفتار کنند که تناقض هایی را ایجاد میکند ازقبیل: ▪️حل مشکل در برابر پذیرش ▪️وابستگی در برابر استقلال ▪️اعتماد در برابر سو ظن ▪️کنترل در برابر مشاهده ▪️تامل در برابر عمل ▪️پذیرش در برابر تغییر ▪️رفع نیازهای خود در برابر رفع نیاز های دیگران . ✔️هدف رفتار درمانی دیالکتیک تعادل آفرینی بین تغییر و پذیرش است. ✔️این درمان به افراد کمک میکند که از تقابل بر نهاد و برابر نهاد به یک همنهاد(synthe sis) برسند.⁩

دیالکتیک هگل ✍️ به گمان برخی، دیالکتیک هگل، شامل سه بخش تز، آنتی تز و سنتز می‌باشد. تز در واقع همان وضع موجود است و آنتی تز وضع مخالف. با تقابل این دو وضع، هیچ کدام از بین نمی‌روند بلکه با درهم آمیختگی در یکدیگر به وضع جدیدی تبدیل می‌شود و سنتز شکل می‌گیرد. سنتز حاصل آمیزش تز و آنتی تز است که وضعی کامل‌تر و بالاتر است. این سنتز خود می‌تواند در یک وضعیت تز جدیدی قرار بگیرد و با آنتی تز مقابل خود به سنتز جدیدی تبدیل شود. مثال تاریخی: نظام فئودالیسم یا برده‌داری که تز به حساب می‌آمد. قشر بورژوازی به عنوان آنتی تز در نظر گرفته شد و با قیام و شورش علیه اربابان و اشرافان، نظام سرمایه‌داری به عنوان سنتز شکل گرفت. اما پس از مدتی از نظام سرمایه‌داری با ایجاد اتحادیه‌های کارگری و سوسیالیستی، آنتی تز شکل گرفت به نام نظام‌های سوسیالیستی یا کمونیستی. مثال روزمره: فرض کنید زنی با مردی ثروتمند ازدواج می‌کند اما پس از مدتی می‌فهمد که این فرد گذراندن وقت با خانواده ندارد این باعث ناراحتی دو طرف می‌شود. زن از او جدا می‌شود ولی در ازدواج بعدی خود بر اساس تجربه قبلی، دیگر ثروت طرف مقابل مهم نخواهد بود، بلکه ملاک‌های دیگری را در نظر می‌گیرد. به طور کلی در دیالکتیک هگل، چون هر وضع در مقابل وضع مخالف خود قرار می‌گیرد و تبدیل به وضع جدیدی می‌شود، پیشرفت حاصل می‌شود و این پیشرفت نامحدود است. #فلسفه #کتاب #ادبیات #هگل #مارکس #تاریخ #جهان #انسان #دیالکتیک #فلسفی

This might be the most life-changing mindset shift DBT teaches us. We're so conditioned to think in black and white: "I want to set boundaries BUT I don't want to hurt anyone" That little word "but" cancels out everything that came before it. It forces us to pick a side. 💡 Dialectical thinking says: What if both things can be true at the same time? "I love my job AND it's stressing me out" "I want to set boundaries AND I care about not hurting people" "I'm proud of my progress AND I still have work to do" Suddenly you're not torn between two realities, but you're holding the complexity of being human. Living dialectically means you stop trying to resolve the tension and start dancing with it instead.
